Good Classic Episode"Pyramids Of Mars", quality wise, isn't on the top of the Doctor Who episode stack, but it's certainly enjoyable and interesting. This story is most notable for two things. First off, we are introduced to one of the Doctor's most dangerous opponents ever, in this case the all powerful Sutek. Sutek stands out as one of the most popular villains in the DW fanbase, as well as one of the Doctor's greatest foes. Second, we get one of the most iconic and best scenes from any Doctor Who serial: The apocalypse scene where the Doctor shows Sarah Jane a future in which they do not stop Sutek. It really brings you to understand that not only can the future change, but the Doctor truly is an important warrior of time. While I do have some problems with this story(such as the slow pacing and Sutek's silly looking 'true form'), overall "Pyramids Of Mars" is a very good saga of the Doctor, and should be watched by anyone who is a Whovian..Score: 4/5

This is the bomb.'Pyramids of Mars' is one of the best Doctor Who serials in its original, nearly 30-year run. It is the peak of the kind of gothic horror of the Philip Hinchcliffe (producer), Robert Holmes (script editor) era. This is actually written by Robert Holmes and another author under the pseudonym "Stephen Harris". Tom Baker is at his peak, Elisabeth Sladen is as well. Don't buy if you want space opera and robots, (although there are robots, hmmm), but if you want a pretty creepy story featuring ancient Egypt, an English manor house in the early 20th-century, and some Egyptian archaeological investigations gone horribly wrong, then I recommend you try it..Score: 5/5

The Gift of Death! It's a bit wobbly in places but still great fun and certainly worth a look. Great chemistry between Sarah Jane and The Doctor and a really malevolent villain. Look out for the sneaky hand, trying not to be seen as Sutekh finally stands up in the final episode. Tom Baker is on great form even if the rest of the supporting cast are a bit dry. Enjoyable, certainly but not quite a classic for me..Score: 4/5
Classic!A classic example of the more melodramatic stories of Who, and of course the 4th doctors at his best, fresh and exciting. Interesting ideas within the episode aswell, undoubtely influencing later sci-fi's like Stargate, Egypt's connection with aliens seems more of a normal idea these days. See if you can spot Admiral Ozzel from Star Wars, the one that Darth Vader chokes at the beginning of the Empire Strikes Back, the actor that played him is in this. This is brilliant though and well worth a look, also a good example of the telly of the time..Score: 5/5

HE NEEDS NO OTHER.They could remake this today, without changing a thing and it would still be this good. Gabriel Woolfe gives an acting masterclass- voice only. WorldThis is undoubtedly one of Tom Bakers best story's. Both Tom Baker and Liz Sladen out do themselves with superb acting skills, and the supporting cast are excellent. The Doctor and Sarah Jane are returning to UNIT HQ, but they have turned up a few years too early - well about 70 years! What is the secret of the Priory? Trapped and unable to escape, can the Doctor outwit the Egyptian God - Sutekh and save not only Earth, but the whole universe from his evil? This is a brilliant story on many levels. The first actually answers a question that I'm sure all of us have asked at one time and another: Why doesn't the Doctor just get in his TARDIS and leave when the going gets tough? In this story, the situation is so dire that (uncharacteristically) Sarah Jane asks him to do just that. At first the Doctor refuses saying that if he doesn't stop Sutekh the world will end. Sarah replies by saying, "but we know the world didn't end in 1911!". The Doctor relents and takes her forward in time to 1980. The Earth is a lifeless wasteland and in Sarah Jane's words: "We have to go back." I particularly love the puzzle the Doctor has to solve in order to set Sarah Jane free - and even today I still have trouble getting my head around it :) The mummies are creepy, and virually indistructable. This is a must see story. Well worth the price!.Score: 5/5
