Let's try to be a little more accurate. Written by Robert HolmesThe Sunmakers is a pretty good episode written by the longtime Doctor Who contributor, Robert Holmes. (Douglas Adams wrote The Pirate Planet and a later episode that never aired called Shada because of production strikes at the BBC). It is actually a very nice satire of taxation and features more cultural commentary than the previous stories in this story from the 15th season..Score: 4/5
Another Solid EntryA good episode. Good acting by the principal actors (and even a few of the supporting ones). A creepy plutocrat villain and a story about too much taxation. (Definately relevant to today's political climate). An excellent buy at the price point. Best enjoyed with a sackful of jelly babies..Score: 5/5
One of the best written episodes EVERAlong with "The Pirate Planet" (2nd segment of the Key To Time series), this is one of the several episodes written entirely by the late, GREAT Apple Master Douglas Adams (who I had the great honor of interviewing a few months before his death). This story combines Douglas' incomparable ability to use the English language (the abuse of superlatives by one of the Administrator characters is hilarious) with all the elements that made the classic Doctor Who series so popular (great acting, silly special effects). It's a perfect example of why literally more than 100 million people watched this show every week at its zenith..Score: 5/5
Awesome! While this might not be my favorite Doctor Who story, "The Sun Makers" stars Tom Baker (the Doctor most popular with American fans) and is NOT currently available on DVD!! As a result, I don't think I've seen it since the 1980s! Bravo iTunes - for bringing back classic Doctor Who when PBS (for the most part) seems no longer interested..Score: 4/5
One of the BestThis is one of my favorite episodes as is Underworld and itunes has them both. Thank you, itunes! I like how the Doctor is always munching on Jelly Babies and always offering them at the most weird moments, but that's the Doctor. He's cunning and cleaver like that. If you've never been to a convention and gotten yourself a box of Jelly Babies, you're missing it. A box of Jelly Babies and the TV remote, just what the doctor ordered... ha ha ha. The best non classic! This story is a very underestimated who story. Firstly The acting is brilliant Secondly it has a great storyline Thirdly it has no useless effects It may not be a classic although it is as good as one But is is certainly One of the best Tom baker storys!.Score: 5/5
A absolutely fabulous classic story. This is one of my all time favourite Tom Baker stories, the 'hidden' cultural references and social commentary along with a great performance by Tom and the rest of the cast make this an all time great. I was very happy to see this amongst the first releases on iTunes as its been a long time since I saw it and was hoping it lived upto my memory, I was not dissappointed. Ok, it might not have the production quality of Battlestar Galatica or LOST but the script and acting make it watchable. If you like 'classic' Doctor Who give this a try, I don't think you'll be dissappointed. My only criticism is the file naming by Apple, on iTunes after downloading a few stories I had a confusing list with all the episodes 1's together and all the episode 2's together etc, on my iPod it was hard to tell one story from another with all the episodes just being indicated by episode numbers. The shows were not even listed by their season numbers. This all meant I had to spend time renaming files to make them easier to use on my iPod. Please refine your naming Apple!.Score: 5/5
