Walter thinks the abduction of a young music prodigy is linked back to his old bunkmate at St. Claire's Hospital. When he kidnaps the child he see's a sequence of flashing lights. Olivia wants Walter to return to the mental institution much to Peter's outcry, but Walter's determination to help ends up having chilling ramifications.
The team is called in to investigate why a man jumps out a window because he thinks he's being attacked by butterflies. Olivia gets some breaks in solving the case from her former partner and that she is so desperate to rid herself of him that she demands to go back into the tank. Meanwhile, some former friends and current foes of Peter find out that he's back in Boston.
The team is called in on a bank robbery similar to other robberies in the area but this particular bank has the thief embedded inside the steel wall of the bank. Somehow the thieves have found a way to defy the law of physics. Walter thinks they're after something of his. As the investigation deepens it all comes to a head when the thieves ambush one of the team.
Olivia's sister, Rachel (Ari Graynor), visits; Walter, Peter and Olivia try to solve the murder of an esteemed epidemiologist, which may be linked to Olivia's abduction.
Olivia, Walter and Peter are called in to investigate the death of a car salesman who was found in a pool of "goo," exactly like another man across the country. When Walter discovers that the "goo" is brain matter, the trio tries to figure out how the killer can liquefy human brains. As the deaths pile up, the investigation reveals a common thread linking the victims together in an unthinkable manner. Meanwhile, Olivia is horrified when the case places a loved one in harm's way
When the Fringe Division delves into another bizarre occurrence aboard an international jumbo jet, freakish remains are discovered at the crash site. Memories tip the team toward some promising leads, but the bigger picture and mysterious threat eludes them. With limited options and insufficient intelligence, Olivia and Peter go undercover.
German agents question Olivia about her “relationship” with David Robert Jones, an escaped prisoner questioned months earlier now living in the U.S. The Fringe Division investigates a threatening case where victims die faceless from their orifices suddenly sealing.
Just seconds before a building is demolished, a mysterious mute child that has been living alone underground is discovered. When the FBI’s Fringe Division investigates, the boy forms an unspoken connection with Agent Olivia Dunham. Meanwhile, an especially gruesome serial killer resurfaces and showcases his “artistry” by displaying his work publicly. As the boy gradually assimilates into a new environment, Olivia and the team must race against the clock to prevent the mad man from causing further massacre.
As animal rights activists ransack a laboratory, they get more than they bargained for when one of the caged “animals” unleashes a ferocious appetite. Leaving grotesquely mutilated dead bodies in its wake, the scientifically engineered beast with the body of a lion, claws of an eagle, fangs of a viper, skin of a rhinoceros and tail of a serpent attacks Charlie. With Charlie’s life on the line, Walter must come face-to-face with both his past and the beast.
Olivia dreams about a suicide as the event really happens at Grand Central Station; shocking information about the Z.F.T. manuscript is revealed.
The Fringe Division is on the case when severely mutilated bodies drained of spinal cord fluid begin to pile up. After their investigation leads them to a scientist (guest star Jefferson Mays) with possible ties to the Z.F.T. bioterrorist cell, they are shocked to discover the identity and motive of the killer. When the kills occur with increasing frequency, Olivia, Peter and Walter go to desperate lengths to stop them.
Olivia experiences "awake dreams," seeing elaborate visions of things not really there. While investigating a disturbing case of a woman who apparently spontaneously combusted, Olivia throws caution to the wind and explores her unexplained visions further. Meanwhile, Walter discusses key information about the Z.F.T. manifesto, and Peter reveals a secret that yields unexpected results in the case.
Setting the stage for the dramatic and revealing first season finale are a sudden and unexpected attack on someone with close ties to Fringe Division, the return of bioterrorist David Robert Jones and the inexplicable disappearance of Walter. Find out more about the mysterious events surrounding our trio when questions are answered, observations made, loyalties are tested and the elusive William Bell is finally introduced.

In the series premiere, FBI Special Agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Tov) investigates a fatal international flight, recruiting Dr. Walter Bishop (John Noble) and his son (Joshua Jackson) to help.
The unlikely trio's strange partnership begins as they investigate the mysterious death of a woman who conceives, carries to full term and then births a baby in the span of hours and her baby, who ages 80 years in a matter of minutes. As the bizarre and seemingly unexplainable occurrences are explored, quirky Dr. Bishop runs extensive testing in the lab; his reluctant son, Peter, endures his new role as his father's keeper; and Olivia turns to Massive Dynamic Chief Operating Officer Nina Sharp for assistance.
Further exploring the blurring line between the possible and the unimaginable, our unlikely trio investigates a horrific bus incident in which the dead bodies of commuters are frozen inside a bus like insects in amber. Led by the unconventional Dr. Bishop, who requests a piano in the lab to help him process data, the team uncovers a man who has visions of Pattern-related disturbances before they happen and race to decipher the distraught mans thoughts to prevent another atrocious event from occurring.
After a deadly explosion rocks a construction site in New York City, Broyles solicits the aid of our unlikely threesome to investigate a strange cylinder mysteriously found at the scene and completely unharmed by the surrounding devastation. After Olivia uncovers an unbelievable commonality between disturbing events, Dr. Bishop takes matters into his own hands and Peter is forced into field duty, it almost seems as if the untraceable object is triggering the series of odd behaviors, unexpected events and surprising revelations in "The Arrival."
When its discovered that a rather simple man has the ability to harness electricity, dangerous and deadly occurrences follow, and our unlikely trio investigates this super-charged oddity. Meanwhile, Olivia has a high-voltage encounter of a different kind when she is rocked by a blast from her past, and Dr. Bishop turns to his feathered friends and enlists homing pigeons to help him break the case.
When a woman with a rare disease inexplicably causes excruciating pain and subsequent death to those she encounters, the circumstances point to illegal drug trials, or worse.
When a strange parasite attaches itself to the internal organs of a dying agent, Agent Dunham rushes to Germany to meet with a prisoner who reveals details of a much larger threat.
When a music prodigy is kidnapped, it's discovered that a sequence of flashing lights appeared at the abduction which Walter links back to his bunkmate at St. Claires Hospital.
While investigating a mystifying incident at Massive Dynamic, Olivia seeks to rid her consciousness of Agent Scott and Peters past catches up with him.
While investigating a series of extraordinary bank robberies that defy the laws of physics, Walter realizes that the high-tech thieves are after something of his.
After shifty FBI Agent Loeb orchestrated Mr. Jones's otherworldly escape from a German prison and Olivia's alarming abduction, indications of a larger threat begin to emerge.
A computer scientist-turned-serial killer has discovered an unconventional method of killing people – by liquefying their brains.
When another mysterious virus emerges aboard an international flight, leaving freakish remains, Peter & Olivia are forced to go undercover to investigate the latest bizarre threat.
German agents question Olivia when Mr. Jones returns and a lethal toxin is released that causes victims to die without faces as their orifices suddenly and mysteriously close up.
The FBI's Fringe Division investigates a mysterious, mute boy with an unspoken connection to Agent Olivia Dunham. Meanwhile, a gruesome serial killer resurfaces.
As animal rights activists ransack a laboratory, they get more than they bargained for when one of the caged "animals" unleashes a ferocious appetite. Leaving grotesquely mutilated dead bodies in its wake, the scientifically engineered beast – with the body of a lion, claws of an eagle, fangs of a viper, skin of a rhinoceros and tail of a serpent – attacks Charlie (series star Kirk Acevedo). With Charlie's life on the line, Walter must come face-to-face with both his past and the beast.
As a suicide incident occurs at New York's iconic Grand Central station, Agent Dunham simultaneously witnesses the event while asleep and dreaming in Boston. Rattled by the extraordinary and coincidental circumstances, Olivia, Peter and Walter investigate further, but keep coming up empty-handed. As these violent occurrences continue and worsen, Olivia is sent into an unthinkable direction and shocking details emerge about the ZFT manuscript, the highly experimental drug Cortexiphan and Olivia's childhood.
Find out more about the mysterious events surrounding our trio when questions are answered, observations made, loyalties are tested and the elusive William Bell (guest star Leonard Nimoy) is finally introduced.

- Amazing show.5 star

I had heard about Fringe when it was on, but never seemed to be off when it was on. I love Jonathan Noble from the Lord of the Rings movies. So when iTunes offered the perfect opportunity to catch up on Fringe, I took it. Note I regret not watching it when it was running. This show is so well done. The characters are perfectly cast. This is the FBI the way wanted them to be. I am only a few episodes into the first season, but I am so glad I bought the box set. What an incredible show. So far every episode has left me gripping my seat, and trying to comprehend everything going on. I only wish it were still on, but how far down the rabbit hole can we go. This show makes X-Files feel childish. Wow.

- Poor script, laughable production1 star

Interesting premise, but with a laughable plot and B-movie production style. It's like a modern-day version of the X Files for people with really low IQ.

- Does Anyone Else Notice This When They Watch?3 star

The good: The premise of this show is awesome. The Bad: The sequencing of the writing is lazy, thus the characters are forced to do increasingly stupid things just to move the plot from A to B. This is the problem with J.J. Abrams stuff. It is unintelligent and it does not care that it is unintelligent because it is convinced that you are. Does anyone else even notice this stuff or do I live on a planet of nitwits? I do love Anna Torv though. Most beautiful girl in the world. I loved how smart she was at the start of the series. Then the lazy writing dumbed her down and made the show unwatchable for me.

- Do Not Think, GET IT!5 star

I’m a huge fan of sci-fi, conspiracy theories, the aliens, mystery, thriller, action and the supernatural/the unknown, in general. And to be quite honest, I was reluctant to get Fringe as I’ve neither watched it on T.V., seen trailers or anything. I was fortunate enough to just take a leap of faith and buy the first season. Since that day, I got hooked to an amazing world full of wonderful scientific/pseudo-scientific phenomena/theories coming to life not to mention the brilliant characters who vary from serious, beautiful, to mysterious, to funny, sexy, fierce, evil and cunning. Each episode presents a new mystery that our heroes will explore and solve, while the main story will evolve as you progress through the season. I advise you not to think about getting it, don’t waste time thinking. Just get all 5 seasons and watch them one after the other. It will be a journey of a lifetime.

- Not a sci-Fi fan, but wow5 star

Ordinarily I wouldn't watch a show like this. But one night I couldn't sleep so upon receiving many recommendations I watched the first few episodes. Then I became completely hooked. Now I'm almost finished with season 2 and the show just keeps getting better. I find that I'm staying up really late just so I can watch as many episodes as possible. The acting is very good (which is unlike many sci-Fi genre shows). The premise is fantastic and is acctually rooted in real sciences (believe it or not). And J.J. Abrams pulls out a flawless (or almost flawless but I haven't found flaws) show (unlike Lost which was riddled with flaws and unanswered questions).

- Fringe season one5 star

The amazing backstory of fellow CBI agent, Olivia Dunnen flows into the plot of Fringe, weaving into several episodes. The director of Fringe has really outdone itself making it captivating and draws you to following seasons. Review by Lidia Bodamer 12yrs

- Just horror crap1 star

Disgusting, boring, and cliche. Worthless.

- The start of something great5 star

I was not sure about Fringe at first. Seemed very X-Filesy. Then they embraced the crazy and ran with it. It's pretty great.

- Pretty darn good for tv sci-fi4 star

We sci-fi junkies put up with a lot of crap from tv, going all the way back to Captain Video and continuing through Battlestar Galactica and Defiance. Sure, Fringe is X-Files: The Next Generation, with some Lost thrown in, and star Anna Torv is the poor man's Cate Blanchett. But still, the ideas, writing and production values are all good for tv sci-fi.

- Fringe5 star

Best show ever it is so dramatic and scary you should watch it when it's very late and dark.

- Like an old friend5 star

I love this show like an old friend. Seeing it again takes me back in time. An Ironic statement considering the subject matter. Do yourself a favor watch it in the dark with someone you love.

- The Best Show I Have Ever Seen5 star

I have watched every episode from start to finish, of the entire series. This is the best story I know of. It is not for light entertainment, it is a commitment, a journey, that is spectacular in its complexity and emotion. Please watch it, please watch all of it, but prepare yourself for the trip of a lifetime.

- LOVE the greatest!5 star

This is a wonderful show! I will always be a fan of Fringe!

- Fantastic Show!5 star

One of my favorite shows. So original and compelling. I would recommend this show to anyone. Love it!

- Modern True SciFi4 star

A perfect blend of the 'X-Files' atmosphere with hardcore but digestable SciFi, with 'Minority Report' futuristic art direction and that excellent touch of J.J.Abrams ('Lost', 'Star Trek' movie) wraped by the jaw droping soundtrack supervised by Michael Giacchino ('Star Trek', again; 'Mission: Impossible'). Did you liked the X-Files? Watch Season 1!!!

- Not closed captioned.1 star

Bet it is a good show, but I can't watch it without closed caption.

best show EVER! Its amazing from the start, JJ Abrams is brilliant and this is his best series yet. one of my FAVORITE shows, I just can't get enough! If you love sifi then you'll love this. HIGHLY recommend!

- AWESOME!5 star

I started watching the first season in late May. It took me about 5 episodes before I was completely hooked but once I was I didn't want to get off the rollercoaster! This show is an fantastic sci fi with drama, thrill, & comedy along with great relationship dynamics between the core cast. If you like LOST I think you will LOVE FRINGE! If is FULL of creativity & imagination. So open your mind and take a walk on the wild side! Enjoy :)

- One of the Best TV Shows Ever!!!5 star

If you like Detective Stories about Paranormal Phenomena mixed with a good dose of Sci Fi and wonderfully crafted Characters, a good love story line, with the most entertaining and crazy mad scientist since Doc Brown, you MUST see this!!! It is wonderful!!! I have seen all the series and I can't wait for Season 5.

- Made it through half of season one3 star

I decided to give this series a chance...but just too much gore and negativity and finally just had to give it up. If you are looking for a new series to sink your teeth into, I don't recommend this series. The characterizations are poor and some of the episodes are poorly written. And there is nothing uplifting or remotely positive about this show. You'll never finish an episode wanting to know what happens next, so why bother?

- AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!5 star

This is the best most awesome show in the world!

- Good show, not my thing3 star

X-Files meets CSI. If that's your thing, go for it. It is very much "science fiction". Good cast, good acting, well-paced, perhaps the coolest use of location information I have ever seen.

- no4 star

thanks iTunes!!!!!!! how do i buy just one episode in standard definition?

- I'm Hooked!!!5 star

Great show!!! Just started watching it. I caught half of an episode and I was hooked from there. Smart and very interesting.

- Worth starting5 star

Good TV marathon material! Yes, there are weird little loopholes and possible flaws and some inconsistencies. But it is for me, still quite gripping drama, and it blends the "science" with dramatic devices quite well. These people still care about character motivation, no matter how fantastic the circumstance. The acting is good, but it actually gets a lot better as the series progresses, especially Joshua Jackson's character. I know some of the X-Files rabid faithful will want to burn me at the stake for this, but I think Fringe is a good, 21st Century follow-up to X-Files. Definitely get the entire series.

- Awesome5 star

It's so cool

- Superb5 star

Probably the best science fiction show I have ever seen.

- Another Great J. J. Abrams Show5 star

I don't even own a tv, but shows like this one are awesome. I was a huge LOST fan and then when I heard he created another series, I immediately downloaded them. It's awesome. I love the multifaceted nature of his work, and it is an awesome cast. They are extraordinarily talented!

- Excellent acting, great entertainment5 star

Of course, on one level this is utter nonsense. But, even if you struggle with that, this is top-notch entertainment.

- Hooked!5 star

I found out about this series a couple of months ago. I'm totally hooked on it! I love the theme, but I could be biased since I'm a science major. John Noble (Walter) is my favorite character. The fourth season premieres on Sept. 23 and I can't wait.

- Umm… iCloud?5 star

Why isn't this season available to stream, but the other two are?

- Don't believe the positive reviews....1 star

I can't believe these reviews. After watching half of the pilot, and turning it off in disgust, I'm thinking the reviews must be written by the actors or Fox staffers. The storyline is wildly implausible, the acting is hammy, and the plot and dialogue are pure high school. I completely lost interest 30 minutes in, and watched another 15, hoping it might get better. This is the worst production I have watched in a long time. Avoid......

- Great from the start5 star

I forgot how good the pilot was. All the main characters and elements were there from the start. One of the rare shows where I got hooked in the first episode.

- My favorite season!5 star

Of course Fringe is only enjoyed by a small percentage of the population... But it's truly and amazing series! The acting is superb! I love Fringe!

- rental1 star

This needs to be available for rental. Too expensive.

- Super show4 star

This is one of the best shows ever! A kind of modern version of x-files but way better.

- Wow, Addicted from very first episode5 star

I do not watch TV hardly ever. I had to chose a show I could watch while using the treadmill. So I decided to give this show a try and now I am totally addicted to it. I have to love a show that gets me to use the treadmill for an hour a day. There are not very many shows out there that can keep me watching like this one. Great writers, Great Cast, Excellent Show.

- HMMMMMM..........5 star

I love this series!!.... Interesting plot and lots of weird ,yet cool things going on. I do think that the main character could use a little bit more acting lessons, but still it is a great show and I think everyone should give it a chance. If you dont like it fine, but if you do- make sure to thank me !! :o

- Unbelievably AMAZING5 star

Fringe has a very very entertaining cast, and the head agent Olivia played by Anna Torv is captivating both in character not to mention she's absolutely beautiful! As far as the overall premise of the show is mixing science, suspense, humor at times and overall plays like a movie every show that has an underlining theme that connects the different mysteries. My biggest regret about Fringe, is not buying the whole season at once!

Whenever I saw bits or pieces of this show on tv, it left me uninspired and cold. I'm as bad as tv or movie execs who expect shows to explain themselves immediately... in a single five word quote. I wasn't sure if I really like this show after two episodes... by end of the fouth, I am hooked and just hope they can sustain "the pattern." The strange "fringe' science is less important to me than the motivations of the characters. Are the betrayals really betrayals? Is loyalty just a sham? Are past actions a sign of what a person will do in the future? Will past actions help or hinder? Another thing: the main character is played by Anna Torv. In clips of the show, I thought she seemed rather limp. She wasn't instantly appealing to me. She doesn't use glamour, flashy acting, or star charisma to seduce you. Sadly another reason I probably didn't latch onto this show immediately. But by episode four, she anchors the show with an integrity I need amid all the conspiracies of the plot and the uncertain behavior of every other character. She' great. Give the show a chance.

- Walternate!5 star

Fringe is the best show on television right now! I absolutely love the characters, but John Noble's Walter Bishop/Walternate is absolutely awesome. I love the mythology that this show has to offer. J.J. Abrams does a fantastic of throwing a curve ball on a seemingly normal world show. Whether it's the Watchers, Locke, or the Rambaldi Project, I love J.J. Abrams work on his shows.

- Okay Show3 star

Conceptually, Fringe offers some interesting ideas; no that it's totally breaking new ground (i.e., time travel, alternate dimensions, teletransporation, etc) but I don't hold that against the show. The best part of the show, to me, is the interaction between the father and son / Walter and Peter. They're actually quite funny and credible. The lead actor, Elizabeth, well, I generally find her unconvincing. I don't dislike her, but I almost don't care what happens to her. As an actor, she just doesn't strike the right tone for me ... but this is like saying that I like chocolate and someone else likes vanilla, I guess. I'm inclined to believe that this role simply doesn't play to her strengths (whatever those are). In a show like this, or any show, for that matter, you can't just rely on the fantastic to keep people interested. The actors and the writing have to hold their ends, too. As for the writing, well, it's definitely at times predictable and puzzling. For example, in one episode one of Elizabeth's colleagues is bitten by some snake-bat hybrid. They tell the guy he's got 8-16 hours to live; but when he calls his wife she's asking if he's going to be home for dinner! Sure, he wants to protect her, I guess; but it just didn't seem credible that he'd hold back this info from her. Another example: Elizabeth was seeing people killed in her dreams; but Peter told her that such an idea was crazy; but, believe me, they'd already talked to dead people, seen monsters, seen aliens -- and you're still saying that something in a dream is crazy?? One thing I do like is that the writers seem to not want to string viewers out ad infinitum with hints and allusions to some GRAND CONSPIRACY. Of course, I'm in the latter half of the first season, so I might feel differently if I get to the next season.

- Luv it!5 star

The Twilight Zone meets X-Files! luv it!

- Totally Amazing.5 star

This series is a little bit like the X-Files, it has tons of interesting cases! I would recommend you buy the series or watch it, because you won't be disappointed. :D

- Rocks!5 star

I used to be a big fan of Alias( for those of you who remember that show). For the past couple of years I haven't found a t.v. show that has sparked my intrest since. Then I caught this show one night. I was so engrossed. I immediately went to iTunes and downloaded all the ones I missed. The whole idea behind the show is incredible. Sure, some of it is a little far fetched but so what. The characters are what keeps you coming back. Not to mention the story line. I love how every once in a while Walter says something so off the wall that you're laughing for no reason.

- Fringe is the best....5 star

"the grievous" and "college money" have a very good point and I commend their standing up for this awesome show....

- You People Obviously Don't Get It...5 star

If the cast was supposed to be realistic (how that's possible in a SCI-FI show I don't get) this would be NCIS. If the science was realistic (highly unlikely in a SCI-FI show) this would be CSI. And to those who cry about how unoriginal the characters or concepts are try doing something that no one else has ever done before and see how easy it is. To those who talk about how this show steals from the X-Files, they obviously don't know that show stole from Kolchak: The Night Stalker. To those who talk about how this show steals from LOST, they obviously forget it's by the SAME PERSON and LOST is basically Gilligan's Island or Swiss Family Robinson with Twilight Zone and Outer Limits elements. Name one show that is on right now that is the first of it's kind or completely unlike anything on I bet you that answer will be like trying to answer what came before the Big Bang. Whether or not the show takes pre-existing elements and make them better or unique in relation to other shows does not matter because it's rhetorical in nature but saying the show is unoriginal is an indictment on just about every other show that wasn't the first of it's kind...

- Fringe is what happens when the most talented writers in Hollywood team up...5 star

Fringe is a very hard series to explain, especially in how it succeeds where others have failed. My first thought of this TV show was simply that it was a clone of The X-Files, with more engaging characters but a mere attempt at copying the structure that the previous series was well known for. But once I got past the initial four episodes, I was utterly amazed at how those four episodes, which seemed to have nothing to do with each other, somehow blended in with the overall story-arc, and connected so well that you'll regard the writing as brilliant rather than ridiculous. When things start to kick off, every single seemingly non-essential detail will be touched upon later, and that what makes the show so outstanding. There is a sense of proper structure, and yet the writers so carefully crafted it in such a way that it is still engaging. Yout know from episode 5 on that the writers did not just write up ideas as they went; there was a lot of careful thought put into this. I love the X-Files, but one thing this show gets right that the other one just never did was provide closure; it answered questions when you wanted them, and yet raised more questions without overwhelming you. Finally, let me mention that if you pay close attention to the whole season, the season finale is INSANELY GOOD. This series get my highest recommendation. Don't miss out.

Oof, what a bust. Plot from the mind (and attention span) of a 12-yr-old; script without wit or wisdom; wooden characters; and bad acting. The only bright spot was Joshua Jackson (as Peter)...poor guy, he's a good actor caught in a weak cast. Ok, there was one other funny thing: how clearly 'Harvard' was actually the University of Toronto. "Everything tells me I've got to get out of Boston," says Peter, just as the camera pans past the CN Tower! :-o

La Shanda - Awesome5 star

This show has opened my mind made me wonder and made me think of what this would be like if it actually happened. So sit back relax and let your mind be amazed!

Cannotsleep Drummer - You'd expect as much from the guy who made LOST5 star

Ignore the scientific impossibility, turn your brain off & enjoy one of the best sci fi shows in years.

AJMcC - Absorbing5 star

This series was listed in some "best of TV" article I read. I had never seen it on TV and if you're like me there are times between TV season when there is NOTHING on. So we buy these kind of shows to watch when there is nothing to watch. I bought the pilot first to see what it was like. The first 10 minutes or so are a little gruesome. I like the character development and the clues in one show are helpful in the next. We spent a Sunday watching the first half of the season.

Jennoa - GREAT!!5 star

wow, Fringe is a great show, one of the best on TV! I just started watching it, and throughout the entire episode I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens! I hope the soundtrack comes out soon, Michael Giacchino is a genius!

Scott357 - My Favorite Show of all Time5 star

I have just started watching Fringe and I really enjoy this show. I have bought and watched both seasons and I can tell you they just keep getting better. The acting is superb, the special effects are top quality and the story really pulls you into it. But don't take my word for it, buy the pilot and see if you don't get hooked! Scott

bush_lies - Fringe season 15 star

Hands down the best show I've ever watched on television or whatever we want to call this medium. Even the worst episodes of the season are better than anything else out there. My fear is that like other shows that are to good for television, this one won't make it's full run. So buy an episode write a review and keep Fringe going. green green red green

onlyonetigger - Totally Awsome!!!5 star

It could not be better, even if it was on the big screen.

DRChevalier - Great show!5 star

The stories link from episode to episode but not in a tedious or obtuse manner. The characters are interesting and evolve over the course of the first season. The only downside is that the Canada iTunes store is not keeping up with the US store in terms of making Season 2 episodes available.

spyridus - Number 1 Show!5 star

I absolutely love this show! Season 2 is already off to an amazing start!

Ryan Solo - Where is season 2?5 star

Amazing show. Caught the new season on Fox but where is the new season here in Canada on iTunes? Don't tell me they need to relicence a show for every season?

Blackfish 95 - Love Fringe, it's the new X Files5 star

Great show, well worth your time getting into it. Fun, funny, creepy, good long running story arcs. Question to iTunes Canada... where is Season 2? It's started and iTunes USA has the first episode already. Don't we get ours the day after they air too??

gen1023 - ??5 star

I LOVED the first season, it was amazing. iTunes, WHERE is the second season??

Einstein75 - Awsome show5 star

Best sci-fi show in quite some time…

skygazingal - Fave show of recent years!5 star

This show is by far my favorite of recent years, I love the characters and fascinating backstories, I love the dark comedy, and I love the sci-fi bent to it. It's a huge puzzle that you get a new piece to every week, but you don't want to finish the puzzle because it's so much fun getting each piece!

The Wandering Chemist - Entertaining, but terrible "science"3 star

The show is pretty entertaining, worth a watch, but really....some of the worst "science" ever. Most of the explanations for the crazy stuff that goes on are difficult to take seriously, and it's tough for the viewer to stay immersed in the show. It requires a pretty big willing suspension of disbelief, so just turn off your brain, forget everything you learned in science class, and enjoy an average (but not terrible) Sci-Fi.

Dexter11235 - brilliant5 star

Great show, the plot builds over the season to the shocking season finale that will leave you waiting for the next season.

rwp - Best Series Since The X-Files5 star

What a great show, so much happens in this first season, they could have easily stretched it out to 2 seasons. This is the best series of its kind since the X Files was on. Superb cast and production make this the best show on TV, yes even better that Lost.

Jessica Salt - Missing Episode5 star

I was so excited to download the Fringe season, but was discouraged to find that Episode 3 "The Ghost Network" is missing from the iTunes store. I would love to have it to complete the season. Unfortunately it just does not seem to be available - the episode, like its title, is a ghost in this network.

Purdey big p - BEST SHOW 20095 star

tomfromhr - Not in HD4 star

Great show from what I've seen so far, but just to clarify, the episodes here are not in HD. Though oddly as I'm writing this review it shows up as being in HD, yet when you buy them you can only buy the Standard Definition eps...for the SD price, mind you, but still, I'd gladly pay the extra buck for the HD version. I don't notice a huge difference myself, but it'd be nice to have a bit more truth in advertising on iTunes Store Canada.

Mikdeeps - Fringe5 star

Some of the best TV I've seen since the early X-Files.

Turbofreddy - Good show, but the writing, sometimes...3 star

It's a really well directed show but the writing is sometimes pretty terrible and not very subtle in "explaining what the characters mean" to the viewer: it's a little intellectually insulting, but still very entertaining! GO, USA!

ergoplex - WOW5 star

I was lucky enough to catch this TV show from the beginning to end and have been waiting restlessly for it to come out on iTunes, so thank-you iTunes! This show is really worth watching if you are into the sci-fi type of stuff. It has great suspense, action and thrills and has lots of suprises. It really does keep you guessing! Be sure to watch them in order though, because if you miss one episode sometimes another won't make sense. It is great fun watching the experiences of Olivia Dunham (Anna Torve). Check out some of the fan websites for additional info and secrets. I can't wait for season two. I do warn though, if you are REALLY sensitive to creepy images, maybe this show isn't for you! ~Heather

A must see ... anticipation until the next chapter every time ... Bravo! ... I'm hooked ... can hardly wait to buy Season 2.

box707 - Incredible Show5 star

Fringe is one of the best shows on TV. The cast members work very well together and the special effects are great. I like how each episode varies from others but at the same time each is somehow connected (i.e. the bald headed man). Looking forward to season 2. Keep up the great work JJ.

This a spectacular show. Following F.B.I agent Olivia Dunham who has been caught up in something like the X-files with tons of weird creepy events a mad scientist Walter, his son, some crazed bio terrorists this show keeps you guessing till the end.

jd000 - Great 5 season series5 star

In case you’re looking for a great show to get into and don’t know - Fringe is excellent. The main story arc doesn’t really start in the first series which is more procedural but there a few non-red herrings that are followed up later. I have been watching it through for years, pretty much on annual loop and never get sick of it. If you have a tech background don’t be put off by the pseudo-science, it’s handled really well and often humorously. Added bonus - two of the main characters are played by Australian actors.

Grace & Lucy - Better than average3 star

Great concepts, themes and plot ideas let down by average acting and minimal character arcs. Josh Jackson puts in the better performance Fault are exacerbated by that awful confusion caused by a main character sharing the same first name as the protagonist of a much more excellent television series.

Anonymous772 - Fringe is epic!5 star

Fringe is by far the most interesting tv show on earth and the best. 100% recommended to everyone. All seasons are great!

Sheenagh - Fringe - WOW5 star

Just discovered this series and can't get enough of it. Fabulous plot lines, how the writers consistently come up with these ideas beggars belief. Brilliant acting, particularly by John Noble. I am praying the network recognises a Golden Goose when they have one and keeps this series going for a few more seasons.

Shanshuprophecy - Solid3 star

I'm not a huge fan of JJ Abrahms - while LOast was great for S1 & S2, it lost the 'plot' after that & Alias was ok - but Sydney Bristow is no Jack Bauer - but both shows suffer from the same fate - overused ideas, repetitive and increasingly unbelievable storylines -we can only suspend disbelief to a certain extent right? So it was with reservations that I downloaded the trailer to FRINGE & it was exactly as expected - slick, well made etc .. but ultimately generic. It's similar to the X-Files but not as goundbreaking - watch it to wile away a Sunday afternoon but don't expect too much.

What a revelation this show has been. I initially saw one random episode on television when it first aired, and I wasnt very impressed. I dont know why but my opinion has changed dramatically since trying it again. This time from the first episode. Extremely well acted, well written and bordering on both sci-fi and reality, Im completely and utterly hooked. Buy it!!! Its terrific.

I purchased the first few episodes of fringe, from start to finish of every episode has been beautiful.. Deep characters, deep plot. 9/10 Rating for sure.

lizickles - Excellent5 star

Brilliant show, great and interesting (and dare I say it, quite original) characters who are complicated and have complicated but meaningful relationships with one another. The story is really intriguing and well researched. I don’t resent giving the money, but I do wish it was available a bit cheaper as I haven’t been able to afford to watch the other seasons yet.

Federert - Great Show Season 4 Missing - fix this please5 star

This is a top class show, regrettably I purchased all the seasons before realising season 4 of this incredible show was missing. Don't purchase this show until season 4 is included it will only drive you mad, I have purchased season five and I can't watch it without seeing season 4. Congrats to iTunes for getting the show, it's been a long wait. But the package is incomplete. iTunes is asking us - to borrow an analogy that fits to Watch 2 weeks of Wimbledon until the Quarter Finals skip the semi-finals and watch the Final. I am disappointed that a 5 star show is getting anything but star treatment. Please rectify this crazy mad scenario.

bin!! - X-Files of the 21st Century5 star

This show is simply fantastic. This show mixes the best aspects of what fans have come to expect of the like of House, Burn Notice, and the X-Files: the importance of a logical plot, thrill and plot development around every corner, and the true devotion to the idea "Sci-fi." Every episode begins with a movie-quality hook, that is an idea that draws the viewer in and does not lessen its grip. It's a wonder that after every episode, one considers the impossibility of a better hook, and yet is shown one every time. The actors are top-notch, bringing the extremely important believability factor into the mix. The science behind the show, though clearly impossible, is still very well supported, applying semi-feasable logic into situations whereas other shows may and DO use completely false science to support their plots. But the most brilliant part of the show, the sinker to this metaphor, is the tidbit of plot-enhancing information dangled in front of the viewer's nose at the end of each episode, both demanding and ensuring that the viewer return. Overall, this show is nothing less of what you would expect of J. J. Abrams, and is a nearly flawless piece of media. My only complaint is that in the episode "Unleashes," Walter Bishop requests a handgun loaded with .50 caliber rounds, which in reality would blow his arm of with one pull of the trigger. That ammo is used in truck-mounted turrets, and military-grade sniper rifles, where even then a huge spring is employed to diffuse the blow. Besides that, this show is spotless.

Dr.Meridian - Why Don't They Just Call It 'We Want To Be Mulder and Scully'1 star

I watched this season hoping that it would have original ideas... No. It is an apic failure. Fans of the show, do not be offended I just prefer The X Files which came out 15 years before this. 15!! Which means that this pathetic excuse for a show is taking Chris Carter's ideas. Hey, if I am right then 11 years from now Olivia and Peter will get together then have a child. -.- If you feel like watching an awful remake of The X Files then this is for you, if you feel like watching a show that is original, fun, witty, and fast paced then I suggest that you watch The X Files. :3 Thank you if you have read my comment.

The God Sephiroth - Unbelievabley Amazing5 star

I have been watching this show since day one when it first aired and it hasn't ceased to disappoint me. I'm a big tv show fan and I watch so many shows. This is one of those shows that doesn't dissapoint period! If you don't watch this, it will be a big mistake if u choose some other show over this cuz it is just absolutely phenomenal. It has comedy, science, and a lot of action. I reccomend this to anyone who like science fiction. If u do get into the series, you will fall in love with Walter Bishop, this show would not be complete without him. Great Show, I hope this show evolves and gets better and better. Definately worth the week of waiting and the commercials in between!

zoomerb152 - Fringe Rocks & Makes You Think!5 star

Fringe is the new and better X-files. I was a huge fan of X-Files but since the ending of that series there has been nothing even close to the characters and story lines until now. The first season of Frnge takes a bit of understanding "the pattern" but once you catch on, the characters, writing and directing are exceptionally great. The second season begins even faster and better, delivering quality intellectual content, not some "cheesy" scifi. Each week moves faster than the week before revealing more piecies to the overall "pattern" yet still stand alone in plot. All of the episodes are unique and require intellectual analysis to figure out how all of the pieces are woven into a whole. The acting is superb on all counts. Each character has his/hers part to play and the chemistry between them adds to the excellence in writing. This show is something I look forward to each week! Fringe Science, shady characters and their backgrounds, government cover-up, consipiracy plots, are all parts of the whole. This is a delight for an old X-Files follower. If your looking for something fast paced, well written and causes you to wonder how far science will "push the envelope" then Fringe is a must see. You will not be disappointed.

love311inboston - sci-fi phenomenon for the next generation5 star

as a young child i grew up on star trek, so i have always loved J. J. Abrams. as a teenager I was OBSESSED with the X-files and totalyy distraught when it was gone. this show has made me happy to be able to relive the best bits of both of those shows with the multiple references to star trek jokes and plot lines as well as the race against the clock/government conspiracy/illegal experiments that made me love the X-files so much. Not to mention that this show takes place mainly in my beloved old stoping ground of MA (mostly Boston and Harvard), I am constantly nostalgic by it. I am so glad I got hooked to this show and can not wait to see what is in store. Now if only they can bring William Shatner as their next special reappearing guest I can die happy. LOL

Dragon58 - J.J. Abrams best show yet.5 star

This J.J. Abrams best show yet, PERIOD. Lot's of action, science, and crime. Better than Lost and Alias. Peter is the best character.

Tatertotter - Best show ever5 star

The first few episodes are alright, but towards the middle it gets AMAZING. If you want to watch this show, I highly recommend you watch "Bound" first. It's very entertaining, and it gives you a recap of how the show started. My favorite episodes are Midnight (very freaky episode) Unleashed, Bound and There's More Of One Than Everything. The second season is great as well, but has a few more fillers. I suggest you watch this show. Great cast, great plot, (that we just barely know now), great humor, great score, great writing, great twists, everything is wonderful. BUY IT!

Salvaticus - From an old X-files fan...4 star

This show is like an "X-files" that actually delivers on what it promises, particularly with regard to the long-term story arc. In that respect it's great and worth your time. My only complaint is that sometimes it tries to convey very heavy emotions that come off a bit hollow. It's kind of like if "Weird Science" grew up, married the "X-Files" and they had a child together :O

daffers - I love this show!!!5 star

Some say that fringe is a copy or a culmination of other works by Abrams. This is not so. Fringe is a unique thrill ride that does not stop every episode. Also, there is a very intricate plot woven, that has tiny clues in it. Like on last episode, there are numbers written on the desk in the warehouse. Tiny little things. That maake it worth it.

Seriously, if you haven't already bought these episodes, you should trade places with Peter's dad in the mental hospital, its that amazing. I AM OBSESSED WITH FRINGE IT IS SO AWESOME! Btw to the dude who said it is cancelled you're an idiot. The show is back for season 2 september 17 at 9pm on fox.

okay, alright - A show worth watching! Stay tuned for SEASON TWO!!5 star

Fringe is an excellent show about an unlikely group: valuable and clever, agent Olivia Dunham, not-all-there yet brilliant Dr. Walter Bishop, and his son, Peter, shady but proves very useful at times, as they come together to follow the mysterious pattern of strange events, all for there own reasons. As they come closer and closer to the answers, the stakes get higher, and more dangerous, and they realize how little they actually know. An absolutely great tv show. You must watch the first season! its that good! It will NEVER bore you and ALWAYS leaves you hanging!!!

AntonX2 - Great series and more to come5 star

This is a wonderful suspenseful series that is highly recommended to fans of the x files. Anna torv is excellent as agent dunham and the weird cast complements her nicely. Underused astrid is the only sore spot as well as some clunky episodes but overall this is recommended even if you don't like the xfiles.

detinate3210 - i LOOOOVE this show.5 star

This is the first iTunes review I've ever done and it is because of how awesome Fringe is! Fringe brings out the innner sci-fi nerd you didn't know was inside of you. It can be scary, suspenseful, beautiful, and incredibly comical at times. I love Walter, I mean, how can you not? And obviously the rest of the cast is amazing as well. This show has inspired me to write again as well as prompt profound internal dialogue. Quite frankly, it doesn't get much better for the genre, that includes plot and visual execution, which can be downright stunning. Is that a good enough recommendation?

Dudette1992 - awesome show!!!!!!5 star

Likemarigold - On the X-Files Scale...3 star

This show doesn't actually deliver, in my view. It's got a lot of similarities, and it's fun, pretty well acted (although I'm getting a LITTLE tired of the protagonist's sole facial expression: a thin veneer of pensively defiant over grateful damsel-in-distress), and usually interesting. In fact, I might have given this show four stars, if I hadn't seen that nearly all of the reviews cite the X-Files as a parallel. I don't want to mislead: it's not the X-Files. The chemistry isn't as tense, the writing isn't as good, and Massive Dynamic is no Cigarette Man, not by a longshot. Did I buy the first season? Yeah. Will I buy the second? Probably. But I don't have any illusions; this is fun, not fantastic.

As a science researcher I can say Fringe holds my interests as it borders on sci-fi and reality. Entertains the intelligent mind and fulfill the fantasy of what many of us would love to transpose from our imagination - as children and adults. I am definitely looking forward to Season 2 and I hope the writers do not get goofy and disapoint its audience.

SamueltheManuel - Best Show of it's Kind on Television!!5 star

First of All, This show Rocks!! As a connoisseur of television shows, this show has all the right ingredients. The characters are deep, fresh, and compelling. Olivia, who is the main character is endearing and definitely worthy of this show. Olivia has progressed over the season, and anyone who has watched knows how engaging and tough she is. Peter is the base, he is the rock that keeps this show grounded with his witty sarcasm and the justified skepticism this show needs (the stories are outrageous, someone needs to be the voice of reason). And finally Walter, who is the spice. He is by far my favorite character because he is truly unique. He is brilliant, and completely insane, which balances out perfectly, adds suspense, and makes for an unforgettable character. My applause on the conception of walter. The story line keeps an ongoing plot while solving individual investigations every episode which makes you want to keep watching but leaves you satisfied at the end of each episode (unlike LOST). The writing is imaginative and creative and shows us new stories rather than recycling every used and taken plot line like every other television show. Now for part two... a message to all those who gave this show a bad review. It's obvious that people are rating this based on only having seen the pilot. It's called a pilot for a reason... characters are still finding their niche... never judge a book by it's cover... read the book, then make an educated judgement. Next for everyone who says this show is unbelievable...... REALLY??????? WHAT DID YOU EXPECT???? This is science fiction, NOT ER! If you want reality, watch a different show because this show takes reality and mixes in scientific fact and imagination to create one hell of a show, so don't trash the logistics, just go along for the ride. I can't wait til this show blows up and becomes huge and all of you will have to hop back on the band wagon. Like Lost, you must watch every episode of this show to understand both what is happening and how good it is. This show is awesome. If you like Lost, heroes, csi, x-files... you will enjoy this show and recognize it as one of the best shows on tv right now... JJ Abrams knows his stuff, and when he puts his name on something, he stands by it, and so do I. Click yes if you agree

Fringe is one of my favorite shows followed by Harper's Island. Joshua Jackson is an amazing actor as well. He fits well into these thrilling movies, and shows. Like Shutter and Cursed, for instance. Hes perfect!

I got hooked on this show after just one episode. It was so strange and out of the ordinary that i couldn't wait to see what happened next. It has a great plot and gives you just enough clues so that it is still a mystery but by the end it makes sense.

Buzzknit - Great Escape5 star

This show is great - keeps your interest and keeps you guessing - characters are fun too!!! Easy to watch the repeats, seem to find something new each time I watch!

JohnAnthony - OK show, but....2 star

It gets tiring after a while. Someoine's spine is chewed out and Walter says, "It's reminds me of Shrimp cocktail. You see, the crustaceans...." Oh my God man!! Enough nonsense writing already. And what is Joshua Jackson doing on this show anyway?? He's got nothing but a bunch of pathetic one liners ("that's enough Walter," "too much information Walter,"..."What are doing Walter?"). This show is getting worse with each episode.
