Best (improv..*clears throat* ) Reality showWhen I heard about these "Real Housewives" shows, I just rolled my eyes. I saw Dina, Caroline, and Jacqueline on The View and figured I'd try it out since they seemed to have a little more "flavor" that the other shows OC, NY, etc. (not including Atlanta - which I haven't seen). There is something about these people that made me want to watch it every week. I say 'best improv reality' because it seemed too easy that "a book" should happen to come up (plus Danielle is an actress). I'm sure they all worked with the producers on this story - setting up the unknown Dina and Danielle conflict from the start. All I know is I never want to get on Caroline's bad side. She is definately the Queen Bee of this group and I understand where she is coming from. She's pretty cool. She's tough when she needs to be but she has a fun relationship with her family. Even tough they show "thick as thieves" a lot in promos, we probably see her laughing more than laying down the law. (However, it could be that line that got me interested in the show.) And to think, Caroline was cast after someone else backed out. I think her presence helped the show. I attempted to watch clips of the NY show on Bravo.com and I got bored. I couldn't identify with the show and I didn't care to watch the people. Bland as Jan - fit my preconceived notions. (Odds are the only other show I may pursue in this series is Atlanta.) Perhaps it helped that these NJ Italians seemed a little more glammed up as well as more down to earth than the other shows in the series. They all seemed pretty likeable - maybe Danielle not so much. Episode confusion: * Season Preview and Thicker Than Water have some of the same scenes but Thicker Than Water has more scenes. If you look at the "TIME" you will see that the Season Preview is about half as long. *Finale and The Last Supper have some of the same scenes. The Last Supper (aired Thursday the same week of the Finale) was called the director's cut because it featured additional commentary with all the kids and also shows an interesting scene involving some alleged final words from Teresa to Danielle and Danielle's reaction. I'm ready to see the Reunion episiode now. *Hint Hint* It entertained me and I think it served its purpose..Score: 4/5
Love it allI was bored one night and bought the whole season 1 and now i cant wait for season 2!!!!!!! im mainly an OC housewives fan (maybe bc im from southern cali? who knows why but those ladies i LOVE them) but im thinking new jersey is going to be my main love. these ladies dont mess around =D i like that! i hate it when they're all talk and no action....i hope they have season 2 sooon!!!! also love the fact that they are extremely rich, they are grounded and know where theyve come from to get where they are now. awesome awesome awesome..Score: 5/5

To everyone who thinks the first two episodes are the same...."Season Preview" and "Thicker Than Water" are not the same episode. Not only is one longer than the other which you could clearly see by looking at the episodes, but I got the season preview here and then watched Thicker Than Water online, and Thicker Than Water has a lot more stuff than the Season Preview. The first 5 minutes are exactly the same, but they're different beyond that, unless there's some sort of iTunes glitch I'm missing..Score: 5/5

Interesting, but disturbing...I held off writing any critique of this show until after I finished watching the season--including the reunion shows. While I will say that I did like Caroline's steadfastness and always thinking about her family's well-being first, and Teresa's feistiness, I was incredibly disturbed by what was going on (re: Danielle). As a result of all that messed-up drama, I have decided this is the last RH series that I'm going to watch, and probably the last Bravo 'reality' series as well..Score: 1/5
