Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG award winner Tony Shalhoub returns as the obsessive-compulsive detective Adrian Monk in the 8th and final season of the hit comedy series Monk. With 16 brand-new laugh-inducing episodes, the final season promises to be a memorable one for all Monk fans as one of the most successful series in basic cable history give its final farewell. And Sharona returns! Bitty Schram, an original cast member who played Mr. Monk's nurse Sharona Fleming, will return for a guest appearance during the eighth and final season of Monk.
An ex-cop suffering from obsessive-compulsive disorder solves crimes with various (and usually exasperated) sidekicks. The 'defective detective' may have an abundance of phobias (heights, crowds, and even milk), but also razor-sharp deductive skills, which he uses to help the San Francisco police with especially baffling cases.

A great finale to a great seriesMonk is the only television show that deals with homicide investigation that grabbed my attention. With its unique, quirky humor it is difficult not to fall in love with the show. I've always enjoyed that the series was able to keep a good balance between humor and drama which always kept me watching. The final season does a magnificent job of ending the series and will not leave any Monk fans disappointed. While I am fairly sad to see the series end I feel as if they chose an appropriate time to do so. Monk is an icon of what good television should be and will forever be amongst my favorite series..Score: 5/5

Goodbye Monk!This is actually the first year i ever started watching Monk - and then it's over! i feel very sad now. i started watching it halfway through the season and loved it! the season finale made me happy though; Monk's life is good now that he has Molly. i'll be going back and watching earlier seasons of Monk now. Miss you monk This is such a great show, its hilarious, heartfelt and interesting. There is always a twist and the characters are just perfect! I LOVE every single episode, but the best have to be 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. So happy Sharona came back for an episode, I missed her new york sense of humor.Score: 5/5

ImpressedThey really stepped-up their game for the final season. After the 7th season I was worried that the writers were running out of good ideas, but this season proved that I was mistaken. The "here's what happened" bit in "Mr. Monk's Favorite Show" was brilliant. "Mr. Monk Goes to Group Therapy" left me and my family in stitches. The finale was touching. Well done Mr. Monk. Well done.
