Set in New York City, “Day Eight” unfolds amidst the shadows of the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations. Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) is unwillingly drawn back into the intense action after learning of a plot to assassinate determined Middle Eastern peace-keeping leader Omar Hassan (Anil Kapoor) as he negotiates international security with President Taylor (Cherry Jones) and new chief of staff Rob Weiss (Chris Diamantopoulos). Meanwhile, Renee Walker (Annie Wersching) and Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub) return alongside CTU newcomers Dana Walsh (Katee Sackhoff), Arlo Glass (John Boyd), Brian Hastings (Mykelti Williamson), and Cole Ortiz (Freddie Prinze Jr.). Season 8 of 24 promises to combine the show’s unique and trend-setting format with compelling new elements, including a new setting, new threats, and new cast members. Each episode will again cover one hour of real time as viewers follow Jack Bauer through another astonishing day.

24Omg. I was so heart broken when Chloe said, shut her down, Arlo. I hadn't seen the other seasons, but I'm watching them now. They are super addicting. I highly recommend them and I hate how the show ends when I decide to watch it. I guess I'm bad luck or something. lol. I think the movie will be intresting to see them do it in a couple if hours compared to a whole 24 hour period. Never a letdown...Didn't expect this season to disappoint and it definitely delivered fully. A very emotional season for all characters. Just goes to show the mental journey Bauer has gone through and what this job has done to him. 24 redeems itself24 is one of only two or three shows my wife and I actually watch. The past two seasons weren't quite up to par with the 24's of the past and this season started a bit slow - so we were anticipating more disappointment. But, this season pulled it out and did so greatly. Jack was back and he truly was Jack. The ending (spoiler alert) was the best of any series we've ever watched. For those who followed 24 since day one, it was a fitting end to finally see true emotion from the beloved, and normally stoic, Chloe. It was left a little open and there are rumors of a feature length movie in theaters. If it's done and done well, it will make for a great movie. Imagine Jack and the action in iMax..Score: 5/5

Insert title hereIt was time for 24 to end off. They ended on a high note but there was plenty of sloppy writing. Probably because they're running out of ideas. All in all though, it was still entertaining though and this was good enough to not diminish my memory of 24..Score: 4/5
Jack is back - Really back this time!As LazyScranton points out, Season 6 and 7 lacked the suspense, drama, and intricate storylines that defines the whole 24 franchise. There, quite simply, is no other show that rivals 24 in these aspects. Season 8 returns to the true "24" experience, complete with a diverse cast, edge-of-your-seat drama and suspenseful cliffhangers that leave viewers wanting more. The past two seasons mainly season 6 were lackluster, but these first four episodes give us the crux of what 24 really is about. ItAfter reading many of the reviews about the lack of HD and an elevated price tag, coupled with iTunes 'not listening' I feel it is because of the following. iTunes US and iTunes UK are two separate outlets under the same umbrella company called Apple. One outlet has no control over the other. The problem seems to be the disparity between the two. UK customers, as with everything, appear to get charged more than US customers when purchasing the same item. I cannot see why when their is no such thing on the internet as import taxes or transportation charges. It is purely the location of where you have a bank account. I have a relative in New Jersey who has just opened a bank account for me in America. I will make regular monthly credits to that account from my UK based bank account. I will then change my address to hers in my iTunes account along with my payment details. Whataya know....I can get 24 in HD at a real price, and anything else I fancy at a reduced price compared with those in rip off Britain. Best of British to ya iTunes UK..Score: 1/5

How many of you rely on the spectacular superiority of Apple products over the alternatives? 24 is more expensive in the UK for several very good and well defined reasons, understood by those of us in the business, and misunderstood by some of you who are not. 24 is a spectacular show, I have watched every series twice (yeah I know) and decided to try out watching via iTunes. It's been a great experience. Thank you again. Most of us couldn't care less about HD in any case, as a studio film producer for me it's just a gimmick. I would suggest however providing the capacity to engage subtitles in a number of languages, particularly French, Spanish, German, Portuguese etc. Many people in the UK including my wife rely on subtitles to fully enjoy the show. A bit pricey? Yes. Worth it? Oh yes!The first two episodes are a bit been here, done that but things really get going in episode three - the last ten minutes of which are the perfect example of nail-biting suspense and we're left with a great cliff hanger.
