Mereille Enos is Phenomenal hereI downloaded the pilot and episode one for free and now I am hooked! This is gorgeously haunting crime/suspense drama. I am thrilled that "Kathy/Jodeen" from "Big Love" is cast as the lead detective in this show -- she is so unique and her steely determination is perfectly conveyed in her role as Sarah Linden. Can’t stop watchingThis show is as good as a book that you can't put down and have to continue to read all night long. I would binge-watch several episodes of the time until I literally had to go to bed to get up for work. Mireille Enos and Joe Kinnaman are perfectly matched for their roles, and flesh out some very complex characters, for whom you truly care about. Michelle Forbes and Brian Sexton are also top drawer in their roles, the pain and anguish of a mother and father over the death of their daughter, and the links to which they will go for revenge. I don't expect a plot resolution at the end of the season, that comes at the end of season two. Regardless, the show is more about the characters and taen it is about a specific plotline. Enjoy it for the excellent writing, the great characters, and the excellent acting..Score: 5/5

Intelligent series with no goofy Twin Peaks happeningsI was worried when the program began that this would be just another Twin Peaks wannabe...but I was surprised by the quality of the writing, the plot twists, and the generally good storytelling. The characters are fresh and inventive, have a lot of interesting secrets, and suffer great angst. Sometimes, I wonder at their motivation, but it is a ficitional series so a little suspension of disbelief is in order. I LOVE Sarah and Holder as contrasting characters who really should be together, tight as best friends. Nice tension there. We bought the first show as a sampler...and immediately upon that show finishing, we bought the entire first season. Now we are hanging like the rest of the fans, awaiting the next episode..Score: 5/5

Great, engaging seriesSo nice to find a series that takes time to breathe and let things (like the characters, the plot, the sub-plots) develop. If you're looking for a fast-paced, every-episode-a-self-contained-story type of show, you won't find it here. Not as good as the originalI only watched 40 minutes of the first episode. It follows the original plot quite closely, but is not at all convincing - the acting is not nearly as intense as the original series and the atmosphere is dull. I am not sure what the point of the remake is. Perhaps for Americans too lazy to read sub titles? I wouldn't download this even if it was free..Score: 1/5

Starts well but goes offThis starts so well - very upsetting and with killer suspense. Very sad that unfortunately it goes downhill in the second half, there are some inconceivable scenes and silly twists near the end. Haven't seen the original Danish series but it wouldn't be hard for it to be better than the second half of this. Oh and yes, Copenhagen is still in Denmark, not Sweden. There's no corruption in any episodes contrary to the comment below. Finally, there's some unhelpful US bashing below. This remake pays clear tribute to the original in the intro titles..Score: 3/5

Enjoyable ;)I found that this show is a bit of a grower, after a few episodes I was hooked... Unfortunately episode 5 will not download, shows an error a way through downloading, so disappointed that I cannot, for now continue watching. I have emailed I tunes and after trying a few suggestions to over come the problem they refunded my money and are looking onto the problem.
