ClassicThe Original Series may have started it all, but its "The Next Generation" that started the franchise on the road to Star Trek being the icon it is today. That being said though, the first couple of seasons were a bit tough to watch - especially the first 10 or so episodes. The acting was wooden and the stories tried too much to emulate the 1960s show.
