Cheers, Season 2 Release Date and Synopsis

This season focuses on Sam and Diane's relationship. The attraction that they have for one another is clear, but their compatibility is tested throughout the season, especially in "Sumner's Return" and it doesn't help when Sam's friend intervenes "Old Flames". Meanwhile, Cliff's vast array of knowledge gets him into trouble, "Cliff's Rocky Moment". While on maternity leave in "Little Sister Don't Cha" Carla's younger sister fills in for Carla only to return as her 'say it like it is' self. Meanwhile, Coach finds himself getting stuck into unexpected and awkward situations when trying to do right "Coach Buries a Grudge".

Cheers takes viewers back to the Boston bar where everybody knows your name. As former baseball star Sam Malone and his colleague Diane Chambers fight their mutual attractions, they cater to their regulars including Norm Petersen and Cliff Claven. Talking about their problems, laughing at each other's flaws and trying to be there when someone needs them, the gang are joined by naïve farm boy Woody, bitter waitress Carla , troubled psychiatrist Frasier and his wife.

Be sure to watch "Diane's Perfect Date," where Sam and Diane dare to find each other's perfect date, as well as the season finale "Showdown," where Diane falls for Sam's older brother.

Norm takes off for Bora Bora "Peterson Crusoe" and Sam attempts to sound like Diane in order to impress a female reporter investigating the Boston singles scene "Behind Every Great Man". In "Cheerio" Diane leaves Cheers with Fraiser for Italy, only to frantically call Sam after Frasier proposes in "Rescue Me".

Following an attempt in "Cheers: The Motion Picture" to assure Woody's parents that his life is fine, Sam and Diane's romance finally comes to a head in "I Do and Adieu".

Season 6 is full of changes both for the bar and the people working in it. Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley) makes her first appearance as the new manager while Sam looks for a new job "Home Is The Sailor", and Carla and Eddie's wedding becomes difficult "Little Carla, Happy At Last, Part 1 and 2". Cliff helps his girlfriend only to regret it in the end "My Fair Clavin" and Frasier's impending marriage to Lilith has them both in a state of frustration in "The Crane Mutiny", "Bidding on the Boys" and "To All the Girls I've Loved Before". Norm finally works on his bar tab in "Paint Your Office" and everyone works hard at finding out what Rebecca's secret is "The Last Angry Mailman". This culminates in "Backseat Becky, Up Front" when Rebecca must make an important life decision.

The final season of Cheers nearly ends when it begins when Carla accidentally starts a fire in the bar in "The Little Match Girl". Meanwhile Norm enjoys his new job as a beer taster in "The King of Beers". Frasier and Lilith wind up on the outs in "The Girl in the Plastic Bubble" along with "The Bar Manager, The Shrink, His Wife and Her Lover". The possibility of six million dollars stashed away under the bar have the gang nearly at each others throats in "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Bar." Following Woody's surprise election to the city council in "Woody Gets an Election" the gang reconvenes (along with a returning Diane Chambers) for one last drink in the three part finale "One For the Road."

Norm tries to hide his interior decorating skills in "Norm, Is That You?" Meanwhile, Woody steals away a rich snob's girl in "Golden Boyd" and Rebecca can't quite get dog sitting down in "Adventures in Housesitting." "The Visiting Lecher" in which Rebecca accuses a highly respected authority on infidelity of hitting on her, closes out another outstanding season.

Sam and Rebecca continue to struggle with having a baby in "Unplanned Parenthood," "I'm Okay, You're Defective," and "Go Make." Meanwhile Woody's occupation as a gravedigger brings him into conflict with his girlfriend's grandmother in "No Rest for the Woody" and Frasier fails to mention a significant detail to Lilith in "One Hugs, the Other Doesn't." The season concludes with "An Old-Fashioned Wedding" which is anything but.

Carla learns a dark secret about Eddie in "Death Takes a Holiday on Ice." Meanwhile Sam has trouble with his first starring role in "Two Girls for Every Boyd". Frasier (and the rest of the guys) deal with his son's impending circumcision in "For Real Men Only" and Woody becomes despondent in "Loverboyd" when learning his girlfriend Kelly plans to go to school in Europe. .Rebecca's relationship with Robin continues in "Finally!" and culminates in the season finale "Cry Harder."
