As the second season of Falling Skies opens, three months have passed since Tom went willingly with the aliens in one of their ships. Nobody has seen or heard from him during this time, and his absence has taken its toll on his sons. The 2nd Mass. continue to march towards Charleston, S.C., where they hope to begin rebuilding society. On the way the survivors will be introduced to more mysterious alien creatures.

This show had a promising future..too many opportunities have been wasted thus farIm going to just be honest here. "The Walking Dead", "Game of Thrones", 'LOST", even "24" were prime examples of Great Shows or Successful shows that i followed or watched off and on respectively Falling Skies has yet to really get off the ground b/c of the following 1. Weak Script / Plot Twists 2. Lack of strong + original ideas 3. Lack of strong acting 4. Lack of Danger 5. character development!!! I could name more but why bother.."The Walking Dead" is a perfect example of a show with a simple plot, but is executed perfectly.. For crying out loud, all there is to the show is really zombies, escaping them and drama associated with each character. Where this show excells is in Character Development(CD). If you watch Season 3 you'll see how TWD starts to really build on CD. In the comics, you really start to care about each character, understand their personality, strengths/weaknesses, and care that they stay alive and avoid danger... this is due to strong personalities, and great acting that makes you identify with the characters... On Falling Skies, the characters and environment is not really compelling... you really dont care if anyone gets wiped out...there are some good characters but the problem is that the lead characters arent very strong or interesting... I watch season 2 b/c im bored on sundays, but i could tell that this season wasnt going to be worth my time by the end of the 2nd episode of season 2... maybe FS has a huge plot twist coming up, but right now the first 1.5 seasons have been pretty MEH.Score: 2/5

Absolutely Spectacular! Season 3 June 9, 2013 9pmThis is my favorite show on TV. I honestly had never heard of if until I was running on the treadmill one day and needed something to watch. I was hooked instantly and watched the rest of the all day marathon and the Season 2 premiere. If you like Lost or the Walking Dead you'll totally love Falling Skies! Fallin skiesI keeps coming back to iTunes just to watch episodes of fallin skies because it makes my emotions go crazy, first I get real freaked out then I get scared, real scared to the point where my stomach starts hurting but I still want to watch how the episode ends and then I get mad because of all there that's die. Second Season - Keeps Getting BetterI also started watching during Season 1. It was not a bad show, but took off rather slowly. The show had potential but I wasn't sitting on the edge of my seat much of the time. However, this second season is really shaping up, with deeper sub plots and a maturing cast that, quite frankly, is really shinning much more brightly this season. With episode 9 the show has taken on a new life and the 2nd Mass a new sense of purpose and solidarity. I can only imagine an amazing finale for this season if the writing continues to ramp up as it has. Let's hope the producer's stay on track with the sort of solid writing we've been seeing lately. Hurrah for the 2nd Mass! Bravo for Falling Skies! (From earlier in the season) Most of the main characters are really adding to the ensemble's believability. I think this show has a good chance of working itself into a well deserved third season. Far too many shows make the fatal mistake of trying to engage alternative audiences in order to up the ratings only to loose their major fan base. Another mistake is dragging out relationship tensions to long, season to season. This is really a mistake. People need resolution especially once they identify with a actor's situation. Better to add new relationships than drag out others to keep an audience hanging. I think this is a real mistake. So far, so good. Keep up the great acting, writing and also . . . don't forget some environment-establishing special FX once in a while! Keep us believers! : ) We'll be watching . . . and see you in season three! :::Update::: Death March Excellent resolution of a series of personal story arcs. It's nice to see the writing is continuing to build depth. Also, the writers are realizing that the audience needs a few ups along with the downs. I think this show is destined to make it to season 3. I don't know what the viewing audience size is at this point, but they can't go wrong as long as they keep on track. Great show. As a footnote, the addition of Ryan Robbins (ex Sanctuary) was a great choice. A solid actor, his character was introduced slowly, but this episode he gets some serious time to develop his character (Tector). No spoilers here, but the 2nd Mass will live to fight on another day. Let's hope this show can endure its own trials of public opinion. It's got my vote. Best of luck to cast and crew! Now, how about some more alien ships. Plot hint? How about revealing the secret US stash of electro-gravitic lift vehicles (UFO-UAVs) hidden in an underground base in the "Devil's Triangle" (where these technologically advanced aliens did not find them) making this en even fight? Now there's a solid idea for a final episode that will keep the coming back for more. [I know...it's a GREAT idea. Just send me a royalty check. : )].Score: 5/5
2nd Season SO Much Better Than the 1rst. Thanks, TNT!Although I enjoyed the 1rst season, I felt that it could get a little bit sappy at times. The 2nd season is totally different, while keeping the great storyline, dropping a lot of the sappiness, it's darker, harder and one of my favorite shows. I've never watched a single show that I can recall on TNT prior to their continuing Falling Skies, but I will in the future. Thanks TNT!.Score: 5/5
