Major crimesI love The Closer with Kyra, and I am glad they are keeping the show on so no it's not another L & O just a continuing saga with Flynn and Provenza. Can't wait till Monday!.Score: 5/5

Simply the BestThis show is simply the best around. It's smart, funny, and incredibly interesting. Season One focuses more on Rusty Beck and telling his story of where he comes from, also the blending of Sharon as the head officer in the division. Fantastic. Better than The Closer ever was..Score: 5/5

It's a great start to a new show!I think a lot of people were expecting this to be "The Closer: Season 8." It's a new show, of course there are going to be some big changes! It continues on from the last episode of The Closer, and it's mostly Raydor, Provenza, the old gang, and some new people. I thought it was FANTASTIC! It was exciting and clever, and there was plenty of action- it wasn't just like Law and Order or anything. For those wondering why Brenda wasn't there: a) I think Brenda was going back to Atlanta or something at the end of The Closer, with Fritz. b) She kinda attacked someone in an elevator (albeit for good reason) and was subsequently fired. c) This isn't the Closer. It's Major Crimes. It was awesome. If you haven't seen it, see it. :).Score: 5/5

Great show, I'm in!Well we're off to a go start! Yes I'll miss Brenda, Gabriel, and Pope but to be fair we must all give Major Crimes a shot. If you didn't see the series finale of The Closer, I would recommend it highly. My girl Brenda went out like the champion she is and it's been awhile since I've seen a good ole street fight. After the last few weeks she's had I can certainly relate. Sometimes you just get to a point where you can't take anymore and she was there. With her new job in the DA office, they left the door open for her to have a few returns to major crimes plus with Fritz there then you know she will have to pop up every now and then maybe thru a phone call with him. To the future !!!!!.Score: 4/5

AwesomeAwesome.Score: 5/5

A Worthy SuccessorMajor Crimes has really done a brilliant job of continuing the style of The Closer while growing it beyond the character of Brenda and her strengths to revolve around Sharon as the lead character. It is great to see the original cast sticking with the show and one would hope that Brenda can be coerced back on occasion for a sort of crossover / reunion episode. With Fritz still there and her working "just around the corner somewhere" it seems logical for her to be seen every once in a while. I was concerned after the first few episodes that the new "deal making" format might get stale but they've really not let that happen. Story lines have remained strong and the characters and acting are top notch as ever. I'm sad to see the first season end. Can't wait for the second..Score: 5/5

Amazing TransitionI love this show! A whole lot more than anticipated for sure. You can see all the actors are trying hard to give us great episodes. I love the little details that were so prevalent in "The Closer". I don't miss Brenda Lee Johnson at all which amazes me because I did like her alot. It's a relief to have Pope gone - what a disagreeable character! And Gabriel had become such a crybaby, I'd lost interest in his character. Sykes, the new member of Major Crimes, is much better. I wouldn't have believed "The Closer" could continue without Kyra Sedgewick - just goes to show that no one is indispensible. I love Captain Raydor and all my old friends from "The Closer". Each member of the team is so diverse and yet fits together so well with the rest of the squad. Provenza and Flynn are the greatest cop partners ever; I hope there will be at least a couple shows each season featuring them and their misadventures. I hope Major Crimes has as long of run as "The Closer" - if not longer. Lucky us that most of the actors were willing to continue on with another show!!.Score: 5/5

Thanks TNTThank you for not completely taking away the essence of a good show. The Closer was great show and Kyra will be missed, but the surrounding cast was also Great! I am happy that they will get an opportunity to continue to shine! I will be tuned into Major Crimes!.Score: 5/5

Round twoYes, I bought the season pass because I love "The Closer." But I am far from disappointed by the first episode of "Major Crimes." To compare Mary McDonnell's new role as head of the division with Kyra's well formed and seasoned Chief is hardly fair. I remember that Brenda Lee had to earn the respect of the team, and that is exactly what Raydor has to do. McDonnell is a fine actress and has the ability to fulfill this role. I am very happy this great crew is continuing. The four stars is for the first episode, and as the season progresses, I hope to add another star..Score: 5/5
