Season eight of the drama begins with Alex Blake's (Jeanne Tripplehorn) first case with the BAU, in which the team travels to Texas after an ambulance carrying an UnSub known as "The Silencer" overturns on a highway. In their subsequent cases, the BAU travels to the West Coast after the bodies of two unrelated victims are dragged to their deaths behind cars in San Diego and Los Angeles; in Oregon the team struggles to find a link between four men who go missing; later, the BAU profile an UnSub who surgically removes legs, often leading to the deaths of his test subjects. Meanwhile, Reid's personal and professional life collide as he becomes romantically attached to a scientist whom he only speaks to over the phone, but she may be harboring a dark secret.

Decent seasonNot the best though. I still do not like Blake though. Her lines seem very forced and she sounds about as convincing as I do about neuroscience. As for the finale, it wasn't vey good. It was intense, but honestly, after all that build up, I had higher hopes for the Replicator. He turned from mysterious stalker serial killer to some bitter old guy with a grudge whose ultimate plan was blow them up..Score: 4/5

Season 8Season 8 is off to good start. It was a little weird not seeing Emily Prentiss, but the new female agent Alex is not bad. Her role has been minimal which is good because it keeps us engaged in the other characters until we start warming up to her character. The storyline of the team being watched is in my opinion very interesting, and is enough to keep the audience watching. I find that some episodes have a weak climax and some have a hard time fitting everything in the 45 min. time frame, but nonetheless the season is still worth watching. Overall it's been a great show..Score: 4/5
Yay! Prentiss is gone. Now please stop repeating episodes.I'm so glad Prentiss is gone. I never liked her character. However, i love JJ and I'm glad she is back for good. I love the show and I always have. However, lately I feel like the writers are repeating story lines. Which is kind of annoying. For example: A few episodes back Reid fell for a girl who was being stalked by another girl and he tries to save her....just like a few seasons ago when he fell for the actress who had the female stalker....The whole time I was watching I kept thinking "I've seen this episode." Speaking of dead girlfriends could the writers come up with something a little better. I mean their "go to" story line is killing one of the male character's girlfriends. They killed Reid's Girlfriend, Hotch's wife, and Gideon's "lady friend" was killed by Frank and the guy who replaced Gideon they killed his ex-wife from cancer/suicide. I mean I'm all for episodes that are character driven but not the same episode repeated for every character. haha.Score: 4/5

Criminal Minds!!!!I can honestly say that I have completely fallen in love with these profilers! The series is so thrilling and full of drama, action, mystery, and a little romance. Each episode creates more and more suspense as you wait to see what will happen next to these FBI Agents; the leader Hotch, the tech-queen Garcia, the wise Rossi, the new girl Blake, the genius Reid, the tough guy Morgan, and the down-to-earth JJ.
