It's a Good StartI thoroughly enjoy this dramatization of the Bible. The acting is excellent, so the characters and their stories really come alive. No, it can't substitute for the real Bible. But if this drama inspires people to look at the real thing for themselves, then it's done some good. Let's start with a seed; we can prune the tree later..Score: 5/5

Based on the book: The Bible for dummiesIt's sad to think of how many people will watch this series as a sort of bible education. Watching this to learn about the bible is like watching Titanic. Both are based on real events, but aside from that, they're both primarily products of Hollywood imagination. It's not possible to keep track of the number of blatantly obvious deviations from the bible. Of course any movie of actual events calls for artistic liberties. In this case though the writers clearly relied on how they thought events should have happened as opposed to how the bible says they did. I know there are people that will say what does it matter, the whole bible is a product of human imagination anyways. I respect that. My complaint is that this mini series was promoted as a visual depiction of biblical events by people who hold a deep respect for the bible. Clearly though this is not the case. At best it's a cliff notes for those who will never take the time to read the bible, let alone actually study it..Score: 1/5
God works in mysterious ways!!!Stop being so negative!! If this show helps to bring just ONE soul to Christ, then FANTASTIC, it achieved it's intended goal. All of you naysayers and super intelligent beings out there pouring out your harsh critique should just be silent!!! Remarkably accurate, epic series!This is hands down the BEST production of the life of Jesus I have ever seen! It re-tells history in true context, on the backdrop of the Jewish Old Testament. I started watching the series with many reservations, but must say, I left the finale overwhelmed! they really captured the heart of the Bible, in just 10 hours...this is a must see, for both the faithful and the curious :).Score: 5/5

Disappointed with inaccurate info presentedI guess it's nice to watch things now and then. I'm disappointed in how inaccurate it is. Yes, most books turned into movies are, but you can't just outright change things that were specifically said and done. Like Moses meeting the people first and then his brother. The bible specifically says God told Aaron to go meet Moses in a specific place and then together talk to the people of Israel about what would happen. Or Lot and Abraham parting ways, Lot didn't say I'm going to go live in Sodom, and it was Abraham who told him they should part ways, not Lot. That if he picked the east, he would go west. I guess in a way I'm glad I've watched it though because I'm glad I've been able to see these changes and pick up my bible as I'm watching and know that I did have to story straight..Score: 1/5

Great tool to uniteIt is a great tool to engage people to pick up and read the bible again. My whole family and I made it a show we all watched together. I wasn't sure if I wanted to watch at first because these movies are usually boring and slow paced, I'm more of an action, science fiction type of girl, but I must say this was amazing!
