Kung Fu, Season 1 Release Date and Synopsis

He is a man of peace in a violent land. David Carradine stars as Kwai Chang Caine, schooled in the spirit-mind-body ways of the Shaolin priesthood by the blind, avuncular Master Po and the stern yet loving Master Kan. Caine speaks softly, but hits hard. He lives humbly, yet knows great contentment. He is the Old West's most unusual hero. But hero is not a word Caine would use. He would simply say, "I am a man." He has no gun, no horse… and no equal. Many miles stretch before him. And many lives will be touched by him. Don’t miss all the excitement of Caine’s adventures in this Emmy®-winning mystical series that became a global phenomenon and brought martial arts to the masses, popularizing the genre that’s alive and kicking in today’s hit films and video games.

LegendaryThis series needs no introduction. It was the beginning of all the martial arts shows to come and popularized the martial arts in the west. While the fight scenes are the show's hook, the series' real value lies in the spiritual lessons. They are timeless and run as deep as the oceans. One of the greatest shows ever put on TV..Score: 5/5

The BestThis maybe one of the best shows ever. This is one of the shows I remember watching as a kid. Myself, and my friends, all wanted to be Kwai Chang Caine - or a Kung Fu master. The life lessons discussed and taught throughout this series hold just as true then as they do now. The only problem I have with this on iTunes is - Where is the pilot? The storylines fit much better after seeing the pilot than trying to figure things out without it..Score: 5/5

David Carradine stars as the mysterious Caine, a Buddhist monk and hunted man who wanders the American West in the 1870s fighting intolerance and injustice with his mastery of an ancient form of high combat known as Kung Fu. A fugitive from his native home in China, the orphan of half-Chinese, half-American ancestry, was trained in mystic philosophy and martial arts. A man of peace, Caine shuns material things. Roaming the rugged frontier of the Wild West, Caine champions the downtrodden and fights for justice and equality armed with only his hands and feet. In this extended pilot movie, Caine battles for the rights of immigrant laborers building the TransContinental Railway in the post-Civil War West. Exhibiting humility and respect for the "oneness of all living things," Caine, in his quiet, unassuming way, redefines the term "hero" in Kung Fu.
