Liberty's Kids, The Complete Series Release Date and Synopsis

Two teenage reporters cover the events of the Revolutionary War for Ben Franklin’s newspaper, The Philadelphia Gazette. James, an American colonist, brings the rebels’ point of view to life while Sarah, a young Englishwoman stranded by fate in America, gives us the British viewpoint in her letters to her mother back in London. Meanwhile, in Paris, Ben Franklin creates strong diplomatic bonds with France, America’s first and staunchest ally. Caught on opposite sides of the hostilities, Ben’s teenage reporters confront the real, physical dangers of the conflict, forced to choose between their friendship and their countries, their understanding of good and evil, and the moral dilemmas of war. All the while trying to look after mischievous Henri, an immigrant French boy whose comical escapades constantly lead to trouble, as they bear witness to the high points of the American revolution.

I love this show so much.I watched a few episodes when i was littler on PBS Kids. I had forgotten about it and then found it again watched them all and I love the show. I'm kinda really sad that it only has 40 episodes. But very glad they are on here. Overall it is an amazing and educational show that you should watch!.Score: 5/5

Don't get me wrong hereAlthough some PBS kids shows are bad, this show is overall mediocre. I hate this show a little less now. The reason why is because I used to watch this show at my school when I was in 5th grade. However, looking back at this show makes me wonder: is this show all that bad? Not anymore. Liberty's Kids (Season es) Full Episodes

Liberty's Kids is an animated educational historical fiction television series produced by DIC Entertainment, originally broadcast on PBS Kids from September 2, 2002 to April 4, 2003, although PBS continued to air reruns until August 2004. The show has since been syndicated by DiC to affiliates of smaller television networks such as The CW and MyNetworkTV and some independent stations so that those stations can fulfill FCC educational and informational requirements. Since September 16, 2006, the series aired on CBS's new block called KOL Secret Slumber Party on CBS, then it was aired on KEWLopolis, which taking September 12, 2009. In 2008 it ran on The History Channel. The series is currently on the Cookie Jar Toons block on This TV and CBS's Cookie Jar TV. In 2012, Qubo announced the channel will air Liberty's Kids in fall 2012. The series was based on an idea by Kevin O'Donnell and developed for television by Kevin O'Donnell, Robby London, Mike Maliani, and Andy Heyward. Its purpose is to teach its audience of 7 to 14 year olds about the origins of the United States of America. Much like the CBS cartoon mini-series based on Peanuts; This is America, Charlie Brown years before, Liberty's Kids tells of young people in dramas surrounding the major events in the Revolutionary War days. Celebrity voices such as Walter Cronkite, Sylvester Stallone, Ben Stiller, Billy Crystal, Dustin Hoffman, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Don Francisco lend credence to characters critical to the forming of a free country, from the Boston Tea Party to the Constitutional Convention.

Virginia slave James Armistead joins Lafayette and spies on Benedict Arnold (3/81). Then, working as a double agent, Armistead provides false information to British General Cornwallis (7/81). With news that de Grasse’s French fleet is headed for Chesapeake Bay, Washington abandons plans to attack New York (8/14/81). His Excellency resolves to move his troops to Virginia to join with the French fleet and trap Cornwallis in Yorktown. Sarah and Henri go from camp to camp with Lafayette as he jousts with Cornwallis, then worry over the fate of James Armistead. James follows the maneuvering of Washington and Henry Knox. Ben Franklin and John Adams sign the peace treaty with England, ending the Revolutionary War (11/30/83). At Newburgh, New York, some members of Washington's officer corps want him to become King and take over the country. Washington puts down the revolt -- with his eyeglasses (3/15/83). He then races to Congress and resigns to become, once again, a farmer and private citizen (12/23/83). When King George III hears that the conquering general has not seized power, he says, "He will be remembered as the greatest man who ever lived." It includes the “odious compromise” on slavery that maintains the practice’s legality in the United States. George Washington is inaugurated as the first President (4/30/1789).
