The Big Bang Theory, Season 8

The Big Bang Theory, Season 8 Summary

Doctors Leonard Hofstadter & Sheldon Cooper (Johnny Galecki & Jim Parsons) are brilliant physicists – masterminds of their CalTech laboratories, but socially challenged in the non-theoretical real world. Enter beautiful, street-smart neighbor, the actress/waitress Penny (Kaley Cuoco), who aims to teach them a thing or two about life. Despite their on-again, off-again relationship in the past, Leonard believes he’s found true love with Penny. Even Sheldon has grown comfortable with a female companion, entering into a signed “Relationship Agreement” with neurobiologist Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik). In their free time, Leonard and Sheldon continue to enjoy weekly trips to the comic book store and fantasy role-playing games with their ever-expanding universe of friends, including fellow scientists Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg), and Howard’s microbiologist wife, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch). - Complete My Season2 star

Please bring back the 'Complete My Season' option! I only have a few episodes missing and don't want to repurchase the entire season again to have duplicate episodes. Thank you.

- Very disappointing1 star

This has lost the core essence of the show

- Read on...5 star

I'm only leaving 5 stars because of all the bad reviews it's getting from people who OBVIOUSLY didn't buy/watch the season. They just wanted to troll Big Bang fans. I haven't seen this season yet either. I'm just gonna try to offset at least ONE 1-Star review. To the trolls, get a life. Just because you don't find something particularly funny, doesn't mean EVERYONE must agree with you. And why go to the Bog Bang page to begin with when you so obviously have hated this show for a long time? GET A LIFE

- Hey CBS....1 star

$10 cheaper on BluRay. CBS series are overpriced.

- Not liking the "new" penny3 star

I LOVE this show, but I am not liking how penny is turning away from her original character of being a pretty, struggling actress that is funny and kind of ditzy and into a more serious, less funny, sales rep that has short hair and seems more bla. They already have the smarty females, they need to bring the original penny back otherwise the show will loose its dynamic

- BAZINGA!!5 star

Enough said.

- PLEASE HELP ME5 star

What was the name of that song towards the end with the sax I guess when they were put on hold. I know this song have no clue who wrote it or what it's called shazammed it. Came back BBT but no play list. PLZ HELP pokervibe that's at the GMail. That's my email with out the email code figure it out and msg me PLZ.

- Price difference huge!3 star

A few days ago this volume was 25$. Now it's 45$. It's insane

- Fading since season 61 star

This show is a huge reason why tv series should only last 5 or 6 seasons. The writers are running out of ideas and have put in less and less science and comic facts and more about marriage and relationships. What's next, are they having babies soon? Keep what made this a hit show and make it a view from comic/science/toy geeks point of views. I don't want to watch a show about married couples.

- Please make next season the last!!!!!2 star

What happened to this show???? In the beginning, the guys were inventing killer robots and were more focused on the nerdy gadgets and Star Trek themes that drove audiences into the show. Now they’ve included manipulative girlfriends, which have caused the original characters to lose their likability. All the show is about now is the relationships, and is less focused on the plots characters used to focus on at the beginning. “Let’s take things slow,” or “THAT’S A BIG STEP!” is all I hear. I didn’t start watching Big bang to learn about different relationships, which by the way are totally unrealistic, I started watching because that wasn’t the primary focus at the time. Lastly, Jim Parsons is the perfect casting choice for Sheldon Cooper, which is sad for him since his character’s so obnoxious and one-demensional. All in all, this season is loosing touch with it’s originality, and has turned into the next overdone show.

- Great!5 star

The best serie ever! In love with all the characters and funny as hell! It makes me laugh sooo hard! I hope it never ends!!!

- BBT5 star

One of the best series ever. I will pay anything just to watch more episodes of TBBT

- The show has changed...3 star

The show was great but this season the chemistry between the characters seems to have changed. Its obvious the actors are tired of each other or, at least, the characters. The lightness/freshness of the show isn't what it used to be... I hope this is only a glitch... But I don't think so. To bad... I love the idea of this show.

- Fading fast...1 star

This season is even worse than last season. The characters have become complete stereotypes, they've stopped evolving or acting like people and instead are just annoying. The show has lost its geek appeal too... now the "geeky" elements are just sprinkled over whatever blah plot the writers have come up with, they're no longer part of the characters, other than as stereotypes. I loved the first few seasons of BBT, so it's very disappointing that the show has become such a mess. I won't be buying next year's season pass. Epic fail.

- Ridiculous price3 star

I love this show. It's one of my all time favorites. But I refuse to pay $45 for one season of a show. Absolutely ludicrous.

- Love this show5 star

Binge watched this show and can't wait for the next episodes

- episodes too short2 star

the average episode length is currently (14 aired) less than 20 minutes.

- :)5 star

Never gets old....

- Downloads2 star

While I absolutely love the show, I'm disappointed with iTunes. Last year all the seasons I purchased were available for download early the very next morning. Now it's taking a good 2-3 days before downloads are available. What happened????

- Good show, bad penny!5 star

This show will always be good, I just wish penny still looked like she was into guys. She's really not holding up her end of the deal as FEMALE lead. But besides that, classic comedy.:-))

- loveit5 star

Ok, whats up with no new episodes? last one was dec. 11, this just will not stand cbs, get it together.

- Slow upload of episodes1 star

Either CBS or Apple doesn't bother uploading these episodes very frequently. So, unless your looking for last season, don't bother.

- Das it ain’t so Joe2 star

I have been an avid fan of BBT since the show’s inception however this season is not up to the level of the preceding seasons so far. It seems either the actors or the writers are getting tired. Please fix this as this show is a classic!!! C. Willima

- Love it4 star

I don't know y some people don't like it, it's still funny, I understand y people don't like how short the episodes are but its still hilarious.

- Episode 9 not working5 star

What is wrong with SD channel episode 9 not working :-(

- ness5 star

- The Misinterpretation Agitation5 star

This episode, so far, has been the only funny episode in this season. I want more episodes like this!!!

- The best series I've watched in my whole life. Period.5 star

The best.

- Episode 75 star

What happened to episode 7, iTunes? This episode aired 10/27 and it's still available yet.

- Big Bang = Big Bust3 star

I have loved every season of this show for the last seven seasons, but so far the plot lines for season eight have been a bust! Where is the science? What happened to Flag Day? I really don't care about Raj and Penny's night together, was that anything for Emily to be jealous of in the first place? Please go back to the old writers. I don't want the rest of the season to be about how Howard is a low income earner and how wrong Penny and Leonard are for each other. Save the season with interesting plot lines.

- mawire5 star

yeaaaaaah its back with a BANG!

- 18 minute episodes3 star

I feel bad for those who watch this when it airs as episodes have been cut down from 22 1/2 minutes to 18 or 19 minutes this season, meaning up to 12 minutes of commercials. Beyond that, this show is highly over rated.

- Just awful1 star

Laugh free, cliche punchlines and characters, lowest common denominator comedy. It obviously has it's fans, but then so did Beverly Hills Billies. And Two and a Half Men still gets a lot of viewers. High ratings and quality entertainment are not necessarily synonymous.

- The Big Bang Theory5 star

Finally they come up with a show that can relate to nerds like me. My family now calls my Sheldon , and they didn't make up the Phd! This is the best show ever!!!!!!!!!!!

- I hate this show! Bazinga!!!!5 star

Love how clever and funny this conedy show is. I can never get enough of it and I always watch it more than once and still laugh a lot!!!

- Amazing5 star

Flawlessly Perfect

- Great show…but...5 star

…PLEASE Kaley…your new hair look is hideous, you look like a cheap secretary. Nobody in my family likes your new hair look…not me, not my wife, not the kids, not their friends. Whoever suggested to cut your hair, must have hated you. *LOL* Yeah, I know…another movie required you to cut your hair but please, would you let it grow back? Your head is made for long hair, I bet your husband told you the same and if he didn’t, he must really love you. ;-) Bring the old Penny back, please.

- Sheldon's Character5 star

Hi, Thank you for 7 awesome seasons and the eighth to come. Just hope Sheldon's character would become firmer like when it was in season 2 & 3; although he is in a relationship. Tnx guys

- Release the KRAKEN!5 star

The only TV program I look forward to each year. Discounted or not it's worth every penny. Can't wait to see what the gang has been up to and will be up to this season.

- CAN'T WAIT5 star

First things first, I loved season 7. Probably my favorite season right now. From Sheldon finally kissing Amy (twice for that matter) Leonard and Penny finally getting engaged, and Raj finally getting a girlfriend. The entire season just made me smile. A couple of things I didn't like about season 7, some episodes added a little more drama than comedy, there was a little less geeky game night with the boys and how sad Sheldon was after learning that Professor Proton died and wouldn't go to the funeral cause he wanted to stay home and watch Star Wars. But anyway, after the major cliff hanger finale I kind of got mad that we'd have to wait 4 more months to see if Sheldon really left Pasadena to deal with the major changes in his life. But enough ranting, I can't wait for the new season and hope that Penny and Leonard will get married.

- WHAT?!?!?!3 star

How is $39.99 a discounted season?

misschiwawa - The Big Bang VS Itunes5 star

The TV Show is awesome! but why it takes so much time for Itunes to update the new episode online ?????

Time Bandit12 - Willing to pay more?3 star

If Canadians are willing to pay more they will only keep increasing the series prices. Charge what the market will bear! This is not a wine check out prices in the US on TV series in general.

TommoCompton - Great Show, Terrible Release Dates1 star

The show is brilliant. Apple is not. It has been 4 months since the last episode release. Considering the money we pay, Apple, you shouldn’t leave your customers infuriated by your lack of response.

James_R17 - My response from Apple about the series pass nonsense1 star

Echoing most of the previous comments, the show continues to entertain but the extended wait between episodes is ridiculous and shoddy. I called Apple about it (and was swiftly connected to a human being) and they blamed the distributors, claiming that they had no control over when episodes were available. Given that other networks' series do come through on a weekly basis (my one clear example being the latest Top Gear series), I'm inclined to be sympathetic, but only to a point. To that end, half of these negative comments directed at Apple should go to WB. Apple are guilty of failing to dispel all of our assumptions about the episodes being released on iTunes in sync with their airing dates, and are close to being in breach of trade descriptions act, but I don't think there's a sinister Apple plot to hold back sitcom episodes, just to drive down their own customer satisfaction.

IrishRover79 - Where are the rest of the episodes?5 star

Season pass purchased ages ago + long waits + no release schedule available = annoyed customer.

Phil3107 - Awesome5 star

The season started slow but It's good. The reason you can't download new episodes is Apple can't release them till E4 have shown them. Otherwise what's the point in it being on TV?

Hobbes, LS9 - Appalling - almost a four month gap between episodes1 star

This is absolutely ludicrous, it's now been nearly 4 months since we got episode 10 and still nothing, if Apple are happy to take the money up front the least they could do is warn us of the long gap. Absolutely the last time I'll be buying anything from itunes in future. Series 5 stars, Apple 1 (because it wouldn't let me leave it at zero)

Fluffykeith - Great Show, Shoddy Season Pass.4 star

I love this show...and I'm pretty sure I bought a season pass.... Also pretty sure that the last episode I got to see was in January.... ....pretty sure that episode is NOT the last in the season.... So where are the other episodes that I paid to see?

Daenelle - Season pass is a lie. Makes you wait 4 months!1 star

The series is five stars every time. Only gets better. But it's daylight robbery and a lie to call this a season pass. It's March and the episodes from late November still haven't been released. Don't buy the season pass - an expensive con.

Samno95 - WHERE ARE THE EPISODES?!1 star

I bought this season pass in late 2014, and I can honestly say there’s been about five episodes since then. Five. That’s nearly one for every month that I’ve had this pass. At the time of writing this, there hasn’t been a new episode in five weeks. What is the point?… I feel a little cheated.

Hapana123 - LOVE IT BUT NOT SHOWING S85 star

We still waiting for the amazing episodes in the UK but we absolutely love it xx

SammiAnne91 - Series pass? What use is it!1 star

Bought a series pass for this when it first was released. Never again! Seem to be stuck on episode ten and getting no further than that, frustrating when you know that more episodes have been released, however clearly not by Apple! Absolute waste of money and reliability in Apple services going steadily downhill. Apple could at least inform buyers when next episode will be available. On the other hand, BBT = AWESOME!

The Chaffinch - Blame E4 & Warner Bros.3 star

Same as last series, I don't think it's Apple's fault but the distributors E4 & Warner Bros. They decide on UK release dates, once again the paying customer gets to read spoilers posted by pirates who have seen it first, brilliant - well done guys give yourselves a pat on the back. Still a great show though :-)

lindsey1988 - Poor service from Apple3 star

Bought a season pass (which is not cheap) and we are weeks behind the US. Apple never used to do this, they always released the episodes the day after it was shown in the US. I won't be bothering with a season pass again. Big Bang 5*, Apple 0*

johnw2144 - Still Waiting1 star

Still waiting for episode 11, while the series carry's on over the pond, how many episodes are we behind now iTunes??????

Captin 51 - Great!😀4 star

This series is very entertaining but, I think they aren't as good as the last 7 series.

lloydstephens - Rip off season pass1 star

The show is great but the season pass is a total rip off! Still awaiting the PROMISED episodes. Feel very annoyed with this purchase.

Drmerlin - Big Bang Theory 5 Stars, Apple Zero Stars5 star

I agree with others who feel angry that we paid our money for the series pass months ago and have not been able to access the programme for several weeks. I feel that those of us who have paid should have access now. I don’t give a damn whether the programme has aired on E4 or not! This is another example of a pact between the large corporates to take your money and then provide us with poor value at their convenience! What about the consumer?… you know… the people who pay your salary!!!!!!!

Cab Rider - Delayed Again!1 star

Great programme ruined by patchy release dates.

Tenebrious - UK again treated as second class customers3 star

Four episodes behind again - was my money not good enough for Apple to tell me that yet again we were not considered good enough to sell a product to until everyone else had finished using it. Apple should at least inform us when we are not going to get what we paid for. Series 5 stars, Apple none.

Neil HK - Time to end it all3 star

This series is a bit of a damp squib. Ideas, writing and characters are stuck in a rut. Unless they can buck up the quality a bit I can't see this going into a ninth series.

Murraymint95 - Big Bang S85 star

As always the Big Bang theory is as great and funny but a lot better on S8!

BBaillie14 - #No1 Choice5 star

The Big Bang Theory has always been at the top of my top 10 TV Shows. It’s funny & serious but still enjoyably for 13+ 10/10 great job guys
