For those whom don't know.For those whom don't know, which I'm sure plenty of you do, this show is based off of CW's Vampire Diaries. I loved that show it was amazing. Great cast, charming, even sexy and vengeful! So it was no surprise when I got curious about the originals which is a spin-off of VD. After watching it, I can honestly say that I LOVE The Originals! Even a bit more than the show it was originally spun-off from! That being said I hope that CW will keep The Originals coming!.Score: 4/5

The OriginalsI was a bit wary when I heard there was going to b a spin off of The Vampire Diaries. The Vampire Diaries had already become too much about who Elena was dating for me and I was planning to be completely done with the show. I did like Klaus though, and that was enough to tempt me to watch the backdoor pilot. To my suprise I liked it. The first season was ace, and I loved that it wasn't so focused on the romances between charcters. The romance was a backdrop and not a main or crucial part of the plot and I loved it. I'm not saying there was no romance, there was, I'm saying that the romance there was seemed to add to the plot more than take away from it. Season two has got more romance and there are times when I want them to take a step back from it, but overall they seem to keep the romance from taking over the plot. And the thing is, I actually like the romantic relationships being formed so it doesn't bother me as much so long as it doesn't become the focal point of the show. Another great thing about season 2 is that the entire Mikaelson family is back and ready for some fun, in their own way. We are learning more and more about their backgrounds as each episode passes. I'll admit, I've been charmed by Kole and find myself feeling a tad sorry for him now that I understand a bit more of how he came to be who he was. If you are looking for a show that's got a bit of history (admittedly most of it invented), some mythology, and a lot of sneaky plans and double crossing then thisshow might be for you, provided you don't mind violence..Score: 5/5

Gripping script and story lineLoving the new series so far. There are plenty of twists and turns in the plot to keep you hooked on the story line and the development of the characters. i have watched all available episodes of series 2 up until now (end of Jan 15) and i'm 'dying' to watch the next episodes! I know that episode 10 has already been shown in the US but being a keen British fan, i want to know the release date for this episode onto the I-store!
