Don’t waste your timeDoctor Who is a wonderful series that really holds my interest. However, this episode did not capture that “Fantastic” Doctor Who feel that makes the show wonderful. Although Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman are both great at acting, they did poorly in this story. Watch Blink, Silence in the Library, Forest of the Dead, and Dalek if you want to see good Doctor Who. So DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME and go to Netflix and watch some good episodes..Score: 2/5
Writting has gone down hillThe writing for Doctor Who has dropped considerably during this past season and continues to be reflected with the Christmas special. Nothing about this made it feel special. It does not make me excited for the next season. Peter Capaldi is a very talented actor as a the Doctor and Coleman though I feel she has long overstayed her time is a young talented actress. Be that as it may the writting needs to come up to par otherwise we return to the Colin Baker years..Score: 2/5

Save Your MoneyPoorly written, badly paced and composed. Like many of the more recent episodes there is the kernel of an idea that could work, but it is not well realized. There are some good moments and humor, but not enough to carry the episode. I'd suggest giving it a pass. Doctor WhoI love doctor who because its a prodigious. I'm a big whoavina. If you don't know what a whoavina is then your not one. To be a true whoavina then you need to watch a keep up with doctor who. Doctor who is a great show to watch because its a syfy show that British people watch. Its an show that they like to watch cause it tells the history of england but it has some creatures that aren't real to spouse the show up. They did this to history cause they knew that people like syfy and monsters so they took that and put it into a tv show which is a big hit. Starts well; falls apart toward the end.I've binge-watched the entire season -- plus the Christmas special -- in the past week, and I love Twelve far more than I imagined I would. Peter Capaldi brings a marvelous sort of prickly gravitas to the role, which might be why I found the last three or four minutes' worth of dialogue in this episode so jarring. I expect cliches from Moffat. I expect an obnoxiously convenient deus ex machina with every episode. What I don't expect is for him to ask the Doctor to break character for no apparent reason three minutes before the credits roll. Maybe he just wanted to see how Capaldi would sound delivering the lines. The man has a delightfully sexy voice when he drops to a near-whisper, and I can appreciate the temptation to exploit that with a bit of unnecessary dialogue, but the last few lines led me to suspect Moffat had gotten up against a deadline and handed off the script to a 16-year-old fangirl to finish. I'm hoping the Doctor's sudden foray into cloying treacle was an awkward attempt at a Dickensian change of heart(s) that will wear off as soon as he sleeps off the eggnog. I've grown rather attached to this irascible new Doctor as he is. He's not cuddly, but I don't need him to be..Score: 3/5
The new Doctor needs to Move-onI've seen and liked the last three Doctors- but this new Dr. Who just doesn't do it. I won't be watching much of this show. He doesn't fit the role and it has nothing with his age. The plots are darker but in my opinion not thought well. Bring back Matt Smith or David Tennant..Score: 1/5
Doctor Who Muffed it!I first watched Doctor Who backed in the 1970's with Tom Baker as the doctor. The return of the series with Christopher Eccleston as the doctor was for me very exciting. The four season with David Tennant as the 10th doctor were the most successful and interesting. The success was due to the exceptional writing of Russell T Davies. Steven Moffet lacks as a writer and the Last Christmas should be his last if Santa would give me a late Christmas gift. Mr. Moffet is good to "borrow" ideas from other writers, but cannot quite come up original ideas on his own. It was as if I "dreamed" I was watching Doctor Who again in another dream. Does this sound like Inception meets Aliens? My adult sons and I were disappointed with the Last Christmas. Fans of Doctor Who deserve much more from this series..Score: 1/5
