Inspired by the classic film, 12 Monkeys explores the provocative story of a time traveler from a decimated future in a high-stakes race against the clock. Utilizing a dangerous and untested method of time travel, he journeys from 2043 to the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will all but annihilate the human race. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Atlas Entertainment, producer of the original theatrical film. 12 Monkeys stars Aaron Stanford (as time-traveler Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly), Kirk Acevedo (Ramse), Barbara Sukowa (Jones) and Noah Bean (Aaron Marker). Additional key recurring roles include Tom Noonan (Damages, Hell on Wheels) as a mysterious villain, and Emily Hampshire (Rookie Blue) as mental patient Jennifer Goines.

Must see TVI was fortunate to see the pilot early at NY Comic Con. It was intense, and I've been craving more for months. Epic new scifi drama!!I’ve only watched the first nine minutes of the first episode but it was really well done and the acting, storyline is amazing. I can see this show going on for years! Can’t wait to see the rest of the episode and the reset of the season!.Score: 5/5
Mind bendingUsually time travel stories are pretty formulaic, and predictable. But for once this one is full of surprises - it started off a little slow but has grown into something that stretches the imagination as good science fiction should do. The characters are complex and the writing is superb - just when I think - ok, now this should result in this and like so many times in the past - I’ve watched logic or normal situations get tossed into the dumpster making me shake my head - in 12 Monkeys - it shows the events unfold in a way that you would expect the real world to behave which makes it all the better. The devil is in the details for the most part. While not perfect - it’s one of the better shows on Syfy. And I’m looking forward to where the show is taking us on it’s quest to save the world from the ravages of a world wide plague by trying to change the past. Which is like the virus itself - it adapts to changes in the timeline making it not so easy to pin down..Score: 5/5
Intense! Awesome!When i first saw the previews, I of course, rolled my eyes. On an 8 degree Saturday night, me and my husband watched all three available episodes. We are hooked. It definitely keeps you interested. It takes a lot for me to not be playing on my phone lol. Really though, it's an awesome show, action packed, cool story line. Give it a go!.Score: 5/5
