Married at First Sight, Season Two begins the next extreme social experiment in which brave young singles yearning for a life-long partnership marry a complete stranger the moment they meet. Four specialists – sexologist, Dr. Logan Levkoff; psychologist, Dr. Joseph Cilona; sociologist, Dr. Pepper Schwartz; and spiritualist, Greg Epstein – create what they believe are three perfect couples, based on scientific matchmaking. The couples will not meet until they walk down the aisle and see each other face-to-face, for the first time, at the altar. Over the course of several weeks, episodes capture each couple’s journey as they go from wedding, to honeymoon, to early nesting, to the daily struggle of working on their marriage. The question is, will they remain together or decide to divorce?

Do Men Really Know What They Want?Although the males who took on this challenge understood the terms, they did not meet their brides with the same readiness. Their attachments to what was comfortable & familiar over-rode their need to be available to their new relationship for 6 full weeks. They seemed eager to pursue the women they were matched with, until it cost them or until they got an all-in response from them. They were not marriage-ready, IMO. The women were very impressive, but perhaps too headstrong for this kind of blind matching. The men were not as flexible in regard to changing themselves. The experts did not expect what they saw, a few strongly voiced their annoyance at the finale. It so rattled the energy in the room, that a photo on the wall of the set fell to the ground! As an early season in the series, it makes it clear that 6 weeks is too short a time to get to know a life partner. Even with families & friends willing to give support, people drift apart for no apparent reason. Elaborate weddings are relics of "romantical" ideas, this is no fantasy for the couples in it. What this series does highlight is how much men say they want closeness, affection, support & caring partners, but even when they get matched in an official marriage, with a beautiful woman, they give up or back away for lame reasons. As a group, the men were less mature, less committed than the women. The men seemed fearful and were deeply attrached to their mothers, so could it be that strong women were interacting in ways that were not nurturing enough or soft enough for the men? Perhaps strong, capable career women should be matched with equally confident men, who do not live with or close to their families..Score: 3/5

Very depressing and upsettingStarted out so well, but got very upsetting at the end. You start to care about the people on the show, and later everyone including the viewers get hurt. Shame on the "experts" for putting us all through this. They need to apologize to everyone..Score: 1/5
