Storytelling not servedWhat held promise as an authoritative, 1st glance documentary gave way to a 'drive-by' overview that will leave the viewer disappointed. Nothing new or compelling was presented, nor was I left with a feeling that Burgandy wines are worth pursuing. My overall dismay is centered on the film's absence of focus to tell a story that engages the viewer, instead, all we get is, in essence, a half-baked concept with poor execution. For 99 cents, it's still a bust..Score: 2/5

Great for Francophiles, Foodies and Wine LoversIf you binge on Rick Steves European travel programs or you need more mnemonic devices for your upcoming Wine & Spirit Educaiton Trust (WSET) or simialr exams, this documentary doesn't disappoint. It's not loaded with ancedotes like SOMM: Into the Bottle, but it delivers an extra pour of Burgundian cultural overviews and clever content like truffle-sniffing canines. If I had one wish, it would be that the post-production audio enhanced the sound quality during the VĆ©ronique Drouhin interviews. The cellar reverb had me scrambling to make adjustments to my home theater sound settings. That said, I hope Mr. Goldman considers similar productions in Bordeaux, Alsace, Piedmont (at least the one in Italy), Sonoma and other scenic viticultural spaces..Score: 4/5
