SurprisingGreat acting all around and Winslet was amazing as always. I'd categorize under drama not comedy. If you like quirky and unpredictable, you'll enjoy it as much as I did. It's not a lighthearted crowdpleaser, but instead a weave of psychologies of people in a small town and the crazy that comes with "going home". Some visually appealing scenes and dark humor. Terribly Misleading (SPOILERS)First off, this movie is not a comedy although it is categorized as such. I watched it primarily due to the 1950’s fashions featured in the trailer for what looked like a rather pleasant drama with romantic undertones. Instead the plot is ALL OVER THE PLACE! Characters and character interactions feel rushed and not really developed and then it drags on and on with the other sub plots. I’m sure whatever book this is inspired from, it has got to be far better. Now the spoilers…… the romantic love interest DIES by jumping into a silo of sorghum. Seriously. Then the mother of the main character suddenly has a stroke and dies… and now this movie spirals from what could be something good, to this rather odd and twisted story of revenge for which the main character burns the town that has a population of maybe 12 people? This is a massively disappointing movie with a rather fantastic cast… the story is wasted on them..AMJ33Score: 1/5
