To by však znamenalo odhalení pravdy, neboť i Venuše je padělkem. Nicole se rozhodne, že sošku z muzea uloupí dřív, než k tomu dojde. O pomoc požádá Simona, kterého přistihla v otcově sídle a považuje jej za zloděje. Ve skutečnosti je Simon detektivem, specialistou na zločiny ve světě umění.

Infelizmente a Venus não foi esculpida por Cellini mas pelo avô de Nicole, um exímio falsificador de esculturas. Quando os testes forem feitos ficará claro que a obra é falsa, assim como todos os quadros que Charles vendeu serão testados de todas as formas e será comprovado que ele é um falsificador. Mas Nicole nem imagina quem é que a está ajudando nesse roubo quase impossível de ser realizado.

The intertwining tensions between Peck & Heston and Bickford & Ives inevitably will lead to a climactic and violent confrontation.
