My favorite tv showThis is my favorite TV show since The Sopranos. So far in my life(29yrs) I've only looked forward to watching 2 TV shows. The first was the Sopranos and since that show ended, I've really haven't found a replacement..until a couple yrs ago when Hannibal came onto the scene. My mom called me and said "you gotta watch this show called Hannibal." So I said "alright" and I have watched ever since. I love psychological thrillers, movies that really make you think. And since the first episode of season 1, I've had Hannibal in my head lol! At first I didn't think there was an actor out there that could play Hannibal. After watching a couple episodes in season 1, I was shocked. Mads has done an unbelievable job playing an iconic role that won Tony Hopkins a Oscar. This series has everything, I'm surprised it's on network TV. I figured something like this would wind up on HBO or Showtime. What I love most about this series is they are giving the character Will Graham a voice..and finally giving justice to the guy who catches Hannibal Lecture. Hugh Dancy does a awesome job as Will. I can't think of an actor out there that could play Will better than Hugh. I'm also surprised that this isn't one of the more "popular" TV shows, according to the ratings. I've bought season 1, Season 2 and I'm going to buy Season 3 right after I right this lol. I'd recommend this show to anyone who enjoyed Tommy Harris's books(Red Dragon) and Silence of The Lambs..and anyone who likes psychological thrillers. To the people who like Chris Nolan's work(Memento, Inception) to watch this series..Score: 5/5

Season 3 is like a filmschool project for a cooking show.Iused to love this show and consider myself as one of its biggest fans. But season 3 feels more like an art school project than as a clever and well made tv show. It seems that the director has more love of shooting cups, drops, glasses, chairs than he likes shooting characters or even try to put some effort into the story. As in sound if is getting annoying and too arty and wannabe. It took me a full week trying to finnish the first episodes and another full week trying to watch the second. They lost it. Seems like one big commercial for a cooking show..Score: 1/5

What happened?Seasons one and two were brilliant. Season three episodes should be named after Chef Boyardee offerings or Hardee's sandwiches. So tedious. Somehow, the only characters left worthy of empathy are Jack Crawford and perhaps Frederick Chilton - that's a problem..Score: 1/5

Beautifully shot, but a slow burnI have the season pass, and while I admire its use of the medium, so far it is progressing very slowly. It is more like a soap opera than a psychological thriller. I decided to review after watching episode 4, because that episode, in particular, was rather scattered, jumping from character to character, and was somewhat disordered. Nevertheless, I give it four stars because it is so gorgeously shot, a clinic in mise en scene. It may be a slow burn. Not for those who want a briskly moving plot..Score: 4/5

Waste of money and timeThis used to be my favourite show, I fell in love with it the first 2 seasons. But this new season just moves too slowly and nothing is really happening and to be completely honest I feel like I wasted my money buying a season pass. I want to have hope for this season but by the 4th episode I'm just getting really annoyed. Not shaming the whole show because to me I feel like the first two seasons made it. But I feel like they could've invested more time in the actual script writing and dialogue other then the architectural setting of this season. So disappointed thank you for wasting my time and money and getting me extremely excited for nothing. I literally skim through the whole episode... Can't say I've watched more then 5 minutes of episode 3. Hope it picks up soon or I won't even bother watching it anymore..Score: 1/5
Okay! Finally got it!Honestly, I think a lot of us went into this thinking on the movies aka. Silence of the Lamb...its sequels and then Red Dragon. But that's not the sequential path the screenwriters of the TV show took. The TV show is based solely on "The Red Dragon" Novel. Not using much of anything from the Silence of the Labs movies. Except turning Will into the male character of 'Claris Starling' (Jodi Fosters" character). I think going forward past season 7 we will start to see the true nature of the show (which in the credits gives us "Based on the novel The Red Dragon") the real heart pounding, thrilling scenes of the book they're basing the show on going forward. That really is the only way for this TV show could have a future and might start getting further away from the weird (over and over again) scenes of Will seeing that stupid 'Stag or Moose, thing! ' LOL But I bought the season pass and regardless will finish it out! But would advise those thinking about purchasing this season to Wait till it's over & see what the remarks are then. Because up to episode #7 it's not worth paying full price! But it may have some life in it yet...if they stick as closely as possible to the novel in which it gives credit too (The Red Dragon) Sincerely...a truly hopeful seasons pass member.Score: 3/5
