For the first time ever on The Ultimate Fighter, light heavyweights and strawweights are competing together. Sixteen 205-pound men and sixteen 115-pound women travel to Las Vegas from around the world for the 23rd season of the competition, with a large audience of friends and family on hand. After UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk of Poland and #1 contender Claudia Gadelha of Brazil take their place at the coaches table alongside UFC President Dana White, the elimination round of fights kicks off. Throughout the day the coaches take notes as the fighters battle it out and showcase their skills. In the end 16 fighters emerge victorious. The list of winners includes several teammates from a local gym, a cancer survivor, and a past competitor who suffered a devastating injury but is back for redemption. After Claudia wins the coin toss, she begins the team selection and chooses the first fighter. Joanna chooses the second. Once both teams are filled, Joanna picks the first preliminary fight matchup..

Good season, but SD is not HD!Just about every Ultimate Fighter season is good, except the dreadful American Top Team v Blackzillions. This season started off well, but iTunes keeps listing episodes as "HD" even though I purchased an "SD" season. Someone needs to reset a programming flag or something..Score: 5/5
Save your money until they release the finaleI made them give me my money back for this. How can you have a sports tournament and then not have the season finale be part of the season package? Their normal release schedule is the day after original air date (which is bad enough when you're paying for it; HBO releases it at the same time--hint, hint Fox). The finale should've been released last week and still isn't. Called Apple, and they said the finale is not included. Hope they're wrong and Fox releases it. But I'm not paying to wait..Score: 1/5
The Ultimate TeaseHow great would it be to write a mystery that didn't include the end? And when people complain you can just say, "Oh, the end isn't included with the book. But if it makes you feel any better, the butler did it." I've put up with the random release schedule on iTunes in seasons past, but not to include the finale is disingenuous, to be polite.
