King + Abrams = Perfection11.22.63 is not just another stereotypical lackluster sci-fi series. The brilliant mind of Stephen King meets the brilliant direction of JJ Abrams meets brilliant performances by James Franco, Sarah Gadon, Josh Duhamel, Chris Cooper, and George MacKay. 11.22.63 depicts the assidious culture and politics of America in the early 1960's, while allowing us to suspend reality and contemplate the myriad consequences of altering a theoretical quantum universe..Score: 5/5

Simply GreatnessThis show is amazing in every way. The acting is superb and the characters are truly vivid. I really hoped that they would make more seasons, because this story is incomplete and that is why it must continue. Will it ever end? No. That is the beauty of it. Kennedy is an icon, not because of his life, but because of his shady end. Thank you for this wonderful season. It is worth watching several times..Score: 5/5

Masterful Story TellingIf you just go along for the ride, it is truly a fabulous ride! Obviously, if you could travel back in time, all you would need to do to stop the Kennedy assassination on that day in Dallas would be to start phoning in a bunch of threats and the President would never have been paraded through town. But that would not make much of a story. Stephen King does an excellent job of telling a great story about one possibility. I loved this television miniseries. Great acting throughout..Score: 5/5

Attention to Those Who Read the Book:The show will disappoint you, especially if you listened to the audio book, as I did. That recording was 30 hours long, most of which was invested in developing the main characters. It goes without saying that a 9-10 hour TV series simply cannot develope the characters like the book does. Secondly, the divergencies from the book are several, and some are major. The one that most disturbed me throughout the series was the introduction of "Billy," who in the book, is the older "Bill Turcotte" and a relatively minor character in the Derry, Maine portion of the book. In the TV series, he is elevated to a major character, a partner of Jake throughout the entire plot. I found this character to be a particularly annoying presence. Nonetheless, the casting of Sarah Gadon as Sadie was very satisfying. And, the final scene of the series, just like its counterpart in the book, moved me. Nonetheless, I regrett I invested the time to watch the series, and I found most of the episodes disappointing. I don't know if I would have felt similarly if I hadn't read the book.Score: 3/5

Can't beat the book. While I loved the scenery and how they made it really look like the late 50's early 60's, this series was somewhat disappointing. The story plot is significantly changed in order to present it on the screen including adding characters and events not in the book. Im a James Franco fan and I really like his movies but I feel the role of Jake Epping was not for him. Jake and Sadies relationship was powerful and full of emotion in the book, while it was lame and unconvincing in the series. Don't make the same mistake I didI purchased far too quickly. I should have just bought the first episode to see if I would really enjoy it. I was disappointed by it. Though not terrible I just expected more from names like J.J. Abrams and Stephen King collaborating. However I think its main problem lies with the one who sat in the directors chair. For there are so many moments that feel odd and break the tone. It just could have been better I think. Like I said its not terrible, it just didn't live up to expectations..Score: 3/5

This director is in an alternate universeReally disappointing. Loved the book and was looking forward to a cinematic re-telling of the story. Bought the season pass too quickly. Barely made it through the first 2 episodes. Acting is OK. James Franco may not be ideal casting but he’s not bad. Direction is terrible. Slow. Boring. Designed to stretch out the story - often with no connection to the story. Not sure I’m going to waste my time watching the rest. (wish I could go back in time and not buy the season pass) Might be your cup of tea, though. I’d suggest only buying episode 1 and giving it a try. Still a novel story concept. Hope you like it better than me..Score: 2/5

OutstandingMany adaptations of Stephen Kings work are always tarnished when they reach the screen albeit big or small. 11.22.63 however in my opinion was done right. Great casting, slick direction, sharp editing and an impressive budget transform your viewing into a depiction of a real life transition to the 1960's. It looks better than Back to the Future ever did with the 50's era. Set in the present, 11.22.63 tells the story of English teacher who inadvertently stumbles across a time portal and transports him back to 1960 on a quest to prevent the assassination of JFK! But somehow in all this, time itself does not want to be changed and forces try to prevent our hero from completing his quest. Most people seem to haze away from the pilot episode which starts off a little slow but the moment Jake lands in 1960, you will be glued to your screen. It’s a rare treat of entertainment. 5 very deserving stars..Score: 5/5

Good basic time travel idea, execution could have been betterThe first two episodes gave promise for a great time travel series, but then it fell into a series of events that were not very well connected or believable. I had to force myself to get through the bulk of the series hoping the story would pick up pace, and it does deliver in the end. The acting was good and the depiction of life in the early sixties was well done, but poor directing and story telling ruined a great time travel concept. 3 stars for the basic premise, but it could have been so much better..Score: 3/5
