Absolutely love this showLoved every season, and season three is fantastic as well. Its not historically accurate as it is not a documentary. It is however very enjoyable and gives the viewer a glimpse into that era. The costumes and the sets are elaborate. The actors are amazing Wish they would do a season 4, 5, and 6!!.JanfranksScore: 5/5

Consider the shark jumped.I know that this isn’t the series to look at if you’re wanting historical accuracy, but this season—way more than previous ones—is truly style over substance. For example, the love that the Monsieur of history (Phillips, the king’s brother) had for his daughter was well-documented. The man reportedly wept in the carriage that took away his daughter when she got married. But the series portrays him as not even knowing who she is when she’s presented to him? And why is Maintenon sitting in so many scenes when alone with Princess Palatine, who outranks her by a gajillion ranks? I’m not a nit picker when it comes to historical accuracy, but it’s so off the mark (let’s not even talk about the man in the iron mask here) that this season was hard to watch.
