Ridiculously terribleThere’s so much wrong with this it would take for ever to list. Charmed was an amazing show and this reboot is just terrible..Score: 1/5

Horrible!!!I was very excited about it, but not even 10 mins into the episode I hated it. I decided to give it a chance and watched the whole episode, but it was a waste of time..Score: 1/5

Great ShowI was skeptical at first but I have grown to like the new approach to Charmed. I hope they get another season. I'm an original fan of Charmed and I think this show is just as good. Give it a chance and don't live in the past..Score: 5/5

Wasn’t me cup of teaFor those who haven’t watch the original show this is a retelling of the same show without the slow build up that made you love the original cast. The idea of a reboot was nice but the way it was done feels like a cash grab..Score: 1/5

I enjoyed every minute of thisFor anyone who has watched the original and decided to right a negative review on this reboot. Your wrong, this is a brilliant revival. Give it a chance, watch it with a fresh perspective and stop comparing the two. It’s not an identical story line so please respect it as such. Stop being negative or rude in the comment section. If it’s not your cup of tea go get some water and sit in the corner. I hope to see this series grow into something better, defined, and “original” over time. Keep up the amazing work.Score: 5/5

Meh... Original was way better..While the writers attempted to stay true to the basic storyline of the original series, this just comes up short.... the white lighter is more like Buffy’s advisor then he is Leo. Replacing premonition with reading minds by touch is plain dumb.. the other sisters have identical powers to the original (roughly). The writing in general is pretty sloppy.. one would think at least for a pilot they would show some kind of effort. The liberal agenda is in full swing here not missing a beat, even taking a jab at the current President. Can’t we just have television without a political agenda? I watch to escape that stuff. This could have been a really good reboot, but the writers simply destroyed it..Score: 2/5

Love!!!!!Awesome take on a classic! I enjoy both shows. I love how modern this version is and how timeless the original is! Hopefully this show will be around for a long time. I’ll definitely be tuning in..Score: 5/5

Love this showThis show sticks to the magic and is at the same relatable on so many ways. Don’t listen to those who disapprove and who try’s to compare to the original show. Both are different and both are good..Score: 5/5

How NOT to Do a RebootHello, everyone, if you're looking for a reboot that honors its original carnation this is not the show for you. However, if you want to see it done well--while ironically still being on the CW--look to Roswell where they honored the original in the creation of a reboot. I have watched all the way up Season 3 because I was really hoping the show would become less selfish. The theme of Charmed was always to help others. Or, 'You can't used your magic for personal gain' as they said in the original show. Yet, every episode revolves around the sisters and their problems. How this differs from the original is that while you followed the sisters you also watched them help an innocent every week, which I feel like is a better message. However, in all fairness, I don't believe the writers really decided what to do with this show until halfway through the season. The entire first season is just an abridged version of Classic Charmed (Seasons 1-8) told on fast-forward. The biggest example is the season finale where they dive into the Hollow--belive me my mouth dropped when that was introduced so quickly--and Macy uses it to alter reality to try to be part of the family sooner (her story arc basically being Paige's in season 4, except she's part demon instead of white lighter). This screams selfish and personal gain to me. However, the beginning of the season is a lot worse than the end. I've just come to expect being preached at by The CW, which means instead of allowing the characters to organically discuss a real world topic they just have characters overly angry at topics without justification. For instance, the writers address something like college rape culture, but instead of allowing it to be something explored in the episode, the character Mel (or Mal) just shouts at her sister Maggie that the college guy she's kissing is just a rapist-when all we've seen is Maggie and him kissing consensually. The show then went on to have Mal consistently just shout her beliefs at people instead of giving her the opportunity to sit down and discuss the topics she's obviously so passionate about. Don't get me wrong. Those topics need to be discussed, even if it's uncomfortable, but the writer's delivery was so aggressive it became very off putting. A counter example of when they did well occurred halfway through the season in Episode 15. The Medusa Episode. In order to highlight the way men gaslight their victims, the sisters go after Medusa, who is villianized by Greek Mythology because she turns people to stone, even though she was changed into a gorgan because she was raped by Poseidon. It's because of that reason that I say the show started to be better after Episode 15 because I felt the writers were actually taking the time to figure out the full message behind every episode. But, that being said, the sisters only address their own issues. They manipulate time to their own benefit. And they choose each other over others. And, the biggest message and charm to the orignal Charmed was its message of Selflessness..Score: 1/5

Loved It😉I’ve saw the first Charmed and I loved it then. This reboot was pretty good can’t wait until season 2. There is no comparison between the two The original charmed was for that generation and this Charmed is for this new generation. It’s worth watching... And don’t let anyone tell you not to watch it because they are pre-judging the show. they’re trying to compare the show to the old one and the characters to the old one wrong decision just watch it and enjoy it.Score: 5/5

Demons, ghosts, vampires, necromancers – none stood a chance against the bonds of sisterhood. After the murder of their mother Marisol, sisters Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Maggie Vera (Sarah Jeffery) discovered they not only had an older half-sister – the brilliant geneticist Macy (Madeleine Mantock) – but that with the “Power of Three,” they are among the most formidable witches in the world. Having accepted their new destiny as The Charmed Ones, they joined forces with “Whitelighter” witch advisor Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) to stop the impending apocalypse. But saving the world is a tall order, especially when you’re not even sure what your place is in that world. Yes, Mel can stop time with the wave of a hand, but she can’t keep her girlfriend Niko safe – and is forced to rewrite history so the two never met. Yes, Maggie can read minds, but she couldn’t tell that new boyfriend Parker was a half-demon tasked with stealing her and her sisters’ powers. And, sure, Macy can move objects with her mind, but she still reels from being abandoned as a child by her mother. As if that wasn’t enough, Macy, it turns out, isn’t the “half-sister” after all – Mel is – causing identity crises for both Mel and Maggie. In the end, the Charmed Ones defeated demons (both personal and actual), prevented the apocalypse, and saved countless Hilltowne innocents
thanks to Macy absorbing “The Source,” the ultimate power that fuels all magic. The sisters and Harry are battle-scarred but stronger than ever and hoping that life will be a bit simpler now that disaster has been averted. But is life for the Charmed Ones ever simple? Season one ends with their family relationships intact but their romantic lives in flux
. Macy is mourning a lost love just as Harry’s feelings towards her surface. Maggie and Mel both face uncertain romantic prospects. And with The Elders now dead, the magical community turns to the powerful sisters for guidance. Seems the Vera-Vaughn sisters are now in charge. And this New World Order will be even more complicated than anything they ever imagined.

"Stronger together." That's what Marisol (guest star Valerie Cruz) tells her daughters, firebrand social justice warrior Melanie "Mel" Vera (Melonie Diaz), and her sister, fun-loving Maggie (Sarah Jeffery), about their family. Mel is a graduate student in the women's studies department her mother heads at Hilltowne University; Maggie is a freshman considering sorority rush (to Mel's amused dismay) and going "on" again with her on-again/off-again boyfriend, Brian (guest star Charlie Gillespie). But then, a shocking tragedy shatters their world and threatens their sibling bond: Marisol dies in a horrifying accident. Or was it? Three months later, we find Mel unable to accept the official explanation of their mother's death, while Maggie accuses her of being morbidly obsessed. And then, another huge shock shows up at their front door: they have an older sister – brilliant geneticist Macy (Madeleine Mantock), whom their mother kept a secret all these years! Macy is new in town and doesn't know a soul (except for Galvin (Ser'Darius Blain), the cute fellow scientist who's been showing her around). Macy is eager to connect with Mel and Maggie, but Mel can't handle another shock, and shuts her out. With the emotions of all three sisters running high, each of the girls suddenly exhibit impossible new abilities: Mel can freeze time, Maggie starts hearing others' thoughts and Macy has telekinetic powers. But don't worry, there's a perfectly reasonable explanation...or so says Harry Greenwood (Rupert Evans) – who as far as they know is the officious new chair of the women's studies department - when he gathers the three sisters together to reveal they're actually powerful witches, as was their mother. And he's not really a professor, he's their "Whitelighter," a witch's advisor and guide! Not only that, but Mel was right: their mother's death was no accident – she was murdered by unknown dark forces. It's a lot to take in, but ultimately the sisters accept their new destiny as The Charmed Ones...and their new duty to protect humankind from the demons that walk among us...one of whom killed their mother. With the Power of Three, they are stronger together...even if they have no idea what they're really up against.
