Sir David, thank you!The BBC and Sir David, you simply know what to expect.... I already watched the whole series in the UK, and it is another milestone. The NYTimes in their review felt that these stories had been told before, but really, any new series from this team is welcome. Especially, since the image quality is getting better and better through the years. What I simply do not understand however: why is this not available in 4K??!.Score: 5/5

Wonderful - On Par With Planet EarthThis program presents fascinating examples of nature in the context of each continent. It shows how the formation of Earthā€™s major land masses (each with its own geography, weather and special environments) has led to very unique forms of wildlife. Some may say thereā€™s nothing all that new here compared with previous BBC Earth and otherā€™s natural history productions. However, I believe such critics would be wrong. YES, there ARE cases which show already familiar locations and species, BUT BBC Earth production teams with their latest technology always seem to be able to present such natural events as fresh new stories in ever increasing detail. And they still manage to capture sequences and behaviors never before shown. Had anyone ever seen dingoes hunting kangaroos before in Australia? Or the kind of overall story detail here for a puma family hunting guanacos in South America? Iā€™ve watched lots of nature documentaries and hadnā€™t ever seen such like this. The crews also did an excellent job of revealing the awesome landscapes as backdrop to the wildlife being viewed up close. Segments at the end of each episode reveal the extraordinary efforts film crews gave to make this beautiful series. Now that Iā€™ve seen it in HD, canā€™t wait to watch it again in 4K on Blu-ray. Great job BBC Earth!.Score: 5/5

Stunningly gorgeousI watch every nature video I can, and this one (3 episodes in) is one of the best. Thanks to the tireless work of the BBC film crews along with the latest technology (including fantastic drone shots) you will experience wildlife you have likely never seen before in wonderful clarity. Sir David Attenborough in it? Take my MONEY!...but seriously, it's not just because of him--the whole series itself is worth purchasing. If you are big on watching nature documentary with unique species and story then you must own this series. BBC does produce finest documentaries on nature. Hats off to them and Sir David Attenborough. The documentary showcases how human population growth is affecting other species on this Planet. It does not force any blame or solution to you--but rather leave you with an issue that you could think about on your own. Whether you act, or not--it's upto you. But, the scenes from this doc will change your bahaviour without you even realizing. In a good way, i mean. That's what i call a powerful, effective documentary..Score: 5/5

Australia, a land cast adrift at the time of the dinosaurs. Isolated for millions of years, the weird and wonderful animals marooned here are like nowhere else on Earth. In the north of this island continent is the Daintree, one of the world's oldest tropical forests. It's home to the most dangerous bird on earth - the cassowary. A dinosaur-like bird standing six feet tall. On the open grasslands the dingo, Australia'Ā€s elusive and much persecuted wild dog, hunts kangaroos to provide food for its pups. Chases can cover many miles and are often unsuccessful. Life in Australia is tough and getting tougher. Over 70% of Australia is now arid land.

North America25 Jan 2020$2.99

More than any other continent, North America is defined by extreme weather and seasonal change. For animals that live here this poses great challenges, but for those with a pioneering spirit it can also offer great rewards. In Canada's Yukon, lynx have found a way to survive where others cannot. In the streams of Tennessee, male chub fish go to great lengths to attract a mate, moving thousands of stones to build rock pyramids over a meter high. When temperatures are just right, the forests of Mississippi come alive with the spectacular glow of millions of fireflies illuminating the night.

South America01 Feb 2020$2.99

South America is the most species rich continent on Earth. Asia is the largest and most extreme continent on our planet, stretching from the Arctic Circle to the tropical forests on the equator. The animals here face the hottest deserts, tallest jungles and highest mountains found anywhere on Earth. In the frozen lands of the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia, bears seek out active volcanoes - despite the dangers. And on the Siberian coast, a remarkable spectacle appears for a few weeks during the summer - tens of thousands of walruses haul themselves onto a beach in one of the largest gatherings of mammals seen anywhere in the world.

5Europe - Seven Worlds, One Planet episode 5 spoilers, recap and reviews
Europe15 Feb 2020$2.99

Europe is a crowded continent transformed by mankind where extraordinary animals are found in surprising places. High above the city of Gibraltar, Barbary macaques - Europe's only non-human primates - live lives full of kidnappings and high drama, while in the cemeteries of Vienna 'grave robbing' European hamsters battle each other for food. Come nightfall, the forests surrounding ancient Italian mountain villages become the hunting grounds for rarely seen wolves, and deep underground in Slovenia's caves, olms or 'baby dragons' can be found lurking in the pitch black.

6Antarctica - Seven Worlds, One Planet episode 6 spoilers, recap and reviews
Antarctica22 Feb 2020$2.99

Antarctica is a land of survivors enduring the most hostile conditions on Earth. 98% of the mainland is covered by ice on which virtually nothing can live. Even the sea freezes over, but the Weddell seal manages to survive. Below the sea ice, conditions have been stable for millennia and life has flourished and diversified. Starfish, sea spiders and three million predatory worms carpet the ocean floor, and sea anemones feast on ocean giants. Islands on the fringes of the continent, free of sea ice, are far more crowded. Huge colonies of king penguins cover the land, and four-ton elephant seals fight for territories on the beach. The abundance of life found here is due to the incredibly rich ocean surrounding the continent.
