One of the Best Show Out ThereI was first reluctant to watch this show. It seemed boring and depressing and seemed like pure torture to watch. Oh, how I was mistaken. The Big C is one of the best shows I have ever watched. Period. It will have you laughing and crying at the same time. The plot is fairly simple, Cathy Jamison finds out she has stage 4 melanoma and wants to enjoy her last days. The worst part about this show is how slow it starts out. The developments are important, but it feels as if the show is just dragging on, but this all pays off. The scenes with Paul (Platt) are hilarious and the scenes with Andrea (Sidibe) are simply hilarious. Same goes for older brother Sean Tolkey (Hickey). However, even though the show starts slow, it quickly picks up near the finale, mainly due to a character you'll love, Marlene (Somerville). Her performance nearly moved me to tears, and it only gets more heartbreaking during the season finale, which will take you on one emotional rollercoaster. The acting is superb, especially with Cathy (Linney) and Marlene (Somerville). This show is not to be missed, the iTunes price is a little high, but it's a show worth buying and watching over and over and over....Score: 5/5

Emotional rollercoaster!I am hooked on The Big C! This show will have you crying one minute, laughing the next. I can imagine that the feelings of Cathy, her family & friends are exactly what someone with terminal cancer might be dealing with. My daughters and I have season 1 and we watch it over & over. I'm anxious to get season 2 and especially anxious for season 3 to begin after the cliffhanger of the last. Get this series and share it with everyone of know!.Score: 5/5

The best show ever!!!! you will be hooked!!!I don't write a lot of comments, but i have to let you all know this has got to be the best show on television. I have never laughed and tear up so much while watching a tv show. The first few episodes move slowly but trust me it picks up fast! Before you know it you'll be in love with all the characters and whether you have cancer or not you can relate. The second season is even better!!! The character development is brilliant! and so is the script! oh my gosh the script and dialogue is so well developed and smart, i'm literally stunned by this show and the people behind its creation. I read that this show brings in about 250,000 viewers an episode which is pathetic!!! so come on people watch this show. My friend doesnt have showtime on his tv but as soon as i got him hooked he pays for showtime just to watch this show and when the season is over he stops, lol! Seriously its that great!! Im glad showtime despite low viewings has stood by the tv shows side and they seem pretty committed, mainly because its probably the most critically acclaimed show they have at the present, the actors and actresses are amazing by the way!! This show is an emotional roller coaster and you will feel things that you never have felt before whether it be happiness or deep sadness..Score: 5/5

PhenomenalI heard from a friend that this show was great. I was worried it would be sad and depressing, but it's sharp, full of humor, and shows a fresh outlook on life. It will make you laugh out loud and cry just a little. Once I strated watching it I couldn't stop. It will make you think about whether you are having enough fun in your life and convinced me some things just aren't as important as I thought they were. The characters are easy to relate to and are masterfully portrayed. This show is a do not miss..Score: 5/5

The Big C = A MUST SEE!This is one of the most original series I have seen in a long long time. The Big C gives me hope that we will all be so brave as Cathy .. that we can step out of the rut we may find ourselves in, and learn to truly live life to the fullest. The Big C introduces some delightful quirky characters that won't be soon forgotten. It sounds cliche but I truly did laugh, and cry... and I honestly can't wait to meet up with Cathy in Season 2.
