Updated Review Since Season One Ended"This show did not meet expectations, unfortunately:” That’s what I said (among other things) in my original, three star rating. However, now that the season has officially ended, I have to admit that Agents of SHIELD ended up being much better towards the end than it was in the beginning. I think the actors finally got the feel for their characters and how to interact with their cast members. The show starts off slowly, testing its footing, but then it gets pretty good. :) It’s worth putting up with the first several episodes to get into the good stuff if you’re a Marvel fan. :).APrairieGirlScore: 4/5

LOVE IT!DON'T WORRY...THERE ARE NO SPOILERS HERE: This show was on my top 10 from episode 1. I was always a marvel fan and no, I'm not talking about the movie company but the actual comics. The writers were fantastic at bringing in characters and villians from the comics that have never been in the movies or even discussed much other than in the comic itself. I loved the first several episodes simply because they made me fall in love with the characters. I found myself watching more for the funny, caring, sarcastic, and bold personalities of the characters more than the actual plots. Which is never a bad thing in my opinion. You later learn why the writers did this approach and so do not worry, everything is connected, makes sense, and soon becomes filled with nonstop ACTION! My two best friends didn't know or care much for the marvel universe but are now hooked because of this show! I would highly suggest this show because although it will have you thinking "This show will be the death of me," after many episodes, it will also be the life of you :) This show, episode by episode, quickly made itself to my #1 favorite show and I watch a LOT of TV. Later Episodes Are BetterI'll admit, this show had a very rocky start, but by the last half of the first season it was amazing! I love Marvel movies and think it's so cool that they have tv shows now! Trust me, just get past the first episodes and you will LOVE the show! Season 2 is especially amazing!
