Based on Lois Lowry’s beloved, best-selling young adult novel, the haunting story of The Giver centers on Jonas (Brenton Thwaites), a young man who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not the bookI actually haven’t seen it myself but every one I know says it’s horrible. Jonas is supposed to be twelve he looks like he’s twenty!!!! And dude, why’d you have to add Taylor swift?! She’s already horrible in the first place but she can’t act!!
If you want to watch this, I recommend you to watch the play. Go somewhere where they’re doing a play version of this book, because that’s accurate to the book. I wished they made another movie, one that’s more accurate and better in general. I call being in it! The giver’s my favorite book in the world.

Deutsch Jonas ist ein ganz normaler Junge in einer zukünftigen Welt, in der es keine Kriege, keinen Hunger und auch sonst kein Leid, aber auch keine Leidenschaften mehr gibt. Sein Leben und Schicksal ist von der Gesellschaft vorherbestimmt: Von der Geburt, über die Schule und die Arbeit, die Ehe und letztlich den Tod ist alles vorhergeplant. Bis eines Tages das schicksalhafte Los auf Jonas fällt, der sogenannte "Giver" zu werden.
