Too much flying too little detailsI was hoping for a little less flying around and more details about the plane such as more about the RR engines, machine guns, flying arch, glide path, etc. The interviews were ok but seriously it was about the plane not the pilots.Score: 3/5

UnderwhelmingGreat subject matter - a truly beautiful airplane - but I couldn't help but feel that there was about 15 minutes of real content stretched to fill an hour and a half. The photography is beautiful, but it is really the same three or four aircraft trundling around the sky. The interviews with surviving Spitfire pilots is interesting and occasionally poigniant, but the context (i.e., competing aircraft designs, etc.) is quite limited. The 1969 film "Battle of Britain" covers the same historical ground, offers more aerial footage of Spitfires, and is much more entertaining..Score: 3/5
Grace & GallantryBeautifully filmed. And not overwhelming technically for the average viewer. Anyone can watch this, from young to old, and enjoy it. The real heroes aren't even the Spitfires, but the vets who flew them. They're the best part of this film. Thank God for them, the Few. And for the design and development of this fine plane. Mesmerizing...Wow! Spellbinding if you dig this kinda stuff. Men and women of Britain, with that wonderful airplane, pretty much saved the world. Hail Britannia! Wonderfully entertaining history lesson here and the pilots are endearing! Really helps to have good sound when watching at home. The roar of those birds is to be felt. SpitfireAlthough a documentary about a war machine it symbolizes a time when it won the heart of a country. The men and women that flew and supported each other in times of conflict sacrificed so much that we take for granted today. This documentary has some spectacular videography and outlines the courage and valour of pilots, ground crew that should not be forgotten. If you remotely love this aircraft this is a must buy. It brought so many memories back for me at Biggin Hill watching these fly as a kid. Thank you to all involved it is a true masterpiece..Score: 5/5
