Genesis: Paradise Lost brings the first chapter of the Bible to life! Using stunning visual effects, epic orchestration, and the latest scientific and historical research, this film explores the context of the highly studied and hotly debated book of Genesis. Vivid CG animation and interviews with experts and PhD's ignite this powerful production to deliver an incredible, thought-provoking investigation of our origins. Genesis: Paradise Lost challenges our culture’s indoctrination into the evolutionary worldview with biblical and scientific facts. As the Creation to the Cross message unfolds, it reveals that a person’s view of origins affects a person’s moral opinion on many things including the sanctity of life, an individual’s purpose for existing, and what happens after death. The film ends with a clear presentation of the Gospel. Producers Strean, Hovind, and Harrity fully realize that the increasing attack on the idea that God created the universe remains a battleground for which many Christians are unprepared. They believe that by allowing audiences to experience creation and to understand the science behind it, Genesis: Paradise Lost will reinforce how an intelligently designed universe matches both scientific facts and scripture. By removing the supposed “scientific-stumbling-block” of evolution, which barricades many from hearing the Gospel, countless hearts have turned to their Creator. In the beginning…God!

Great movie. Great 3DThis review is split into two parts. One will review the film itself. The second will review the 3D (for those of you who don’t know, this film was initially released in 3D). Part #1: How is the film itself? Well, I personally thought it was pretty good. It had great visuals, an epic score, spot on arguments against evolution, and an inspiring message about spiritual redemption. The one complaint I would have about this movie is that sometimes, the transition from being an animation about the creation of the world to debunking evolutionary claims can feel a bit inconsistent. But if you’re not too critical of the film for that, then the rest of the movie is superb. Overall, it’s a 4/5. Part #2: How is the 3D? As I said earlier, this movie was initially released in 3D in the theater. Although I didn’t see it that way, I later bought the Blu-ray 3D version and am going to review that. The results of this analysis might not entirely match up to the theatrical 3D experience, but it’ll probably be something close. So let’s break this down Cinemablend style. We’ve broken up the 3D aspects into 7 different criteria each worth 5 points if it succeeds for full marks. If it makes a 35, that’s a perfect score. You get the idea. So let’s get started. Does it fit? 4/5 On one hand, this creation documentary contains many animation sequences. Some of these are to prove a point. But others are also used to bring a visual illustration to the creation of the universe. Either way, there’s lots of opportunity for 3D to be taken advantage of. And this film really does so. On the other hand, this movie is also a documentary nether the less. And it’s not one of those IMAX space documentaries. This one is one that features interviews of people sitting in museum rooms and talking. While the material being used for these interviews are interesting enough, these scenes are better off in 2D as they are not so enhanced with the 3D. But other than that, this film already has much going for it in this category with its animated segments. Planning and effort 5/5 As I mentioned earlier, this film features scenes of people being interviewed. And during these scenes, the 3D that is present is not being taken advantage of. And while at first, that seems a little like a question of the planning for 3D, it’s actually more of a question of what CAN you do with the 3D. And the and the answer to that is, pretty much nothing. But with all of the other scenes going on in the film, it doesn’t seem fair to grade this category down just for these scenes. As for the creation and animated segments, the planning and effort behind the 3D is spectacular. It takes depth and window protruding gimmicks wherever and whenever it can while also drawing you into the visually impressive world of the pre-sin earth. Done right, the 3D can actually make the overall content of the film better. And the people behind Genesis: Paradise Lost definitely knew that when they were putting this together. Before the window 5/5 When your watching a film in 3D, the screen becomes less of a screen and more of a window. In the animated sequences, there is pretty much always something to protrude that window. Right from the beginning of the film (pun intended), we’re treated the tiny particles of dust to tree branches to water droplets (that hit the camera (that kind of ruins the effect a little, but the droplets do protrude the screen nether the less)) to creatures and meteors. Even in the animated scenes that take place in houses or museums when the depth begins to becomes less impressive, then film won’t let you without anything to touch. That being said, those interview scenes I talked about before, while do still contain the 3D, allow virtually nothing to protrude the window. Sometimes, this goes on for minutes at a time. But if you can wait that long for the animated scenes, Genesis has gimmicks coming out of its own world. Beyond the window 4/5 As I said just a moment ago, the 3D turns the screen into a window. And while objects can protrude the window from time to time, it’s often more impressive when it can draw you into its world via depth. Once again, during its animated sequences, the depth is amazing. Not only are the views of the jungle, space, and the ocean fantastic, but the creation of the world happening right before your eyes makes the 3D depth in those scenes even more mesmerizing. The detail is great, the views are visually eye stealing, and the depth is overall just very incredible. That being said, the depth in the interview scenes, while aren’t bad by any stretch, add virtually nothing. Of course, you wouldn’t expect them to anyway. The only reason I knock this down a point is probably because the depth, while outstanding, doesn’t quite feel as if it’s given the same effort given to the before the window elements. As a result, it’s a little less impacting. But the depth is still definitely worth seeing. Brightness 4/5 For the most part Genesis: Paradise Lost remains very bright and vibrant. The only trouble is that a few interview scenes where the 3D is taking place could be a bit better lit. It doesn’t exactly murk the entire 3D, but it does add something to complain about. I probably should stop critiquing the films 3D due to its interview segments. But they’re in 3D. So they’re just as part of this review as the animated segments. Glasses off test 4/5 According to Cinemablend, the glasses off test basically states that the more blurry the image is, the more 3D your getting. This movie has a lot of 3D and the image in 2D is blurry. So I say this is a success. The only reason I take one point is, once again, the interview parts. Audience Health 5/5 I’m sure you’d be happy to find out that when this movie went off, I felt completely fine. Conclusion: 31/35 In spite of a few interview scenes that would’ve been better off in 2D, this was great in 3D. This is definitely a must buy for your 3D collection..Score: 4/5

Two world views at work today. The atheistic Darwinian process is empty and has to borrow from the Christian world view in order to have some weight. It brings forth evidence from every related area of science, biology, paleontology, geology, physics, archeology and astronomy to make the case not only that the origin of matter, energy and life are not accidents, but that the history recorded in the Bible is scientifically supportable.
