From the imagination of Wizarding World creator J.K. Rowling comes the Fantastic Beasts film series, magical adventures set before the time of Harry Potter. At the end of the first film, the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) was captured by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America), with the help of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne). But, making good on his threat, Grindelwald escaped custody and has set about gathering followers, most unsuspecting of his true agenda: to raise pure-blood wizards up to rule over all non-magical beings. In an effort to thwart Grindelwald’s plans, Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an increasingly divided wizarding world.

Gellert Grindelwald has escaped imprisonment and has begun gathering followers to his cause—elevating wizards above all non-magical beings. The only one capable of putting a stop to him is the wizard he once called his closest friend, Albus Dumbledore. However, Dumbledore will need to seek help from the wizard who had thwarted Grindelwald once before, his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees to help, unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Wonderful DepthThis is my first ever movie review because I can't comprehend the bad revewis on this movie. I adore the HP books, the movies are just okay they loose the depth and complexity of JKs narratives. Perhaps the bad reviews on these movies are not avid readers & aren't in touch with the complexity of these characters?? Fantastic Beasts are like HP for adults & JK's narrative on human nature shines with its nuiance and complexity. She creates a world where we question the "others" the people we judge, the people society labels as black and white. She takes you in and shows you instead of black & white it's all grey not one way or another. Heroes have shadows Villains have, or had light that had been shuttered. Beautifully done and doen with purpose, even big climatic scenes have such sweeping undercurrents of human nature. The bad reviews must miss these complexities I cannot think of another explanation. Beyond that the actors are superb and seem to understand the beauty of the characters and execute it so well. JK is a wonder & true talent of our time! Makes me wish so badley these were sweeping novels but I will throughly enjoy this franchise instead..1234scoutScore: 5/5

Amazing!!!This is a great prequel to the even more awesome Harry Potter franchise! It’s got a good mystery theme to it. So many great things about this movie. Action, humor, and, oh! So many plot twists!! All of which are about Credence. He’s kind of the main part of this movie. Well sort of, theirs a lot happening;
Credence is trying to find his family, Grindelwald is trying to find Credence and get him to join him, and he does!!!! Quinny is trying to find Tina. Tina, I didn’t exactly get what she was doing, their were also these other new people, who wanted to kill Credence, and Newt and Kowalski were trying to stop them.
Johnny Depp does a great job as Grindelwald! So mysterious and creepy....
My point? Don’t listen to the critics, or the 37% rating from rotten tomatoes! This movie is amazing!!!.Refael2004Score: 5/5
