Simon Carrerra has just been released from prison and is now on parole. His friend Albert persuades him back to his old ways with the idea of a big-time heist of a celebrated diamond in Antwerp; The "Florentine". The jewel's owner, Marie Neuville, suddenly passes away and her daughter, Julia, is left in charge of the sale. Simon encounters Julia while posing as a friend of Julia's mother. Slowly but surely, the two become closer. He manages to use their relationship to get to the diamond and the heist is a success. However, another member of the heist has a different motive and Simon has to decide if he wants to continue with the crime or help Julia recover the diamond.

Simon, a burglar on probation, agreed to go on the biggest shot of his life: The flight of the "Florentine", a mythical diamond set auction by its owners. To succeed, he must approach Julia, expert diamond for sale which is a considerable personal and family issue. Beyond a jigsaw particularly daring, Julia Simon will lead to a destiny she could not imagine.

Český Simon byl právě propuštěn z vězení, a tak se musí každý týden chodit hlásit svému kurátorovi. Přestože je v podmínce, dál se dopouští drobných krádeží v hotelech až do okamžiku, kdy mu jeho parťák dohodí životní ránu v podobě krádeže velkého diamantu, který se má dražit v Antverpách. Za pomoci celého týmu se mu podaří dostat do přízně organizátorky aukce. Tou je atraktivní dcera nedávno záhadně zesnulé objevitelky diamantu. Simonovi začínají city přerůstat přes hlavu, navíc, i když jde všechno podle plánu, zjišťuje téměř v poslední chvíli, že se má v této akci stát obětním beránkem. Šéfové se zabitím celého týmu i jeho samotného snaží za sebou i celou akcí zamést stopy. Simon se vydává po stopě lidí, co ho zradili. Snaží se očistit pošpiněné jméno své nové lásky a zároveň vyrovnat účty s těmi, kteří se mu snažili usilovat o život. Vše se schyluje k nečekanému závěru.
