As America's stock of athletic young men is depleted during World War II, a professional all-female baseball league springs up in the Midwest, funded by publicity-hungry candy maker Walter Harvey. Competitive sisters Dottie Hinson and Kit Keller spar with each other, scout Ernie Capadino and grumpy has-been coach Jimmy Dugan on their way to fame.

Love it.I love this movie, not because of madonna (well, a little bit), not for the comedy, I love this movie because of the message that this movie brings. In the time of world war 2, women were still understimated, the mans were still thinking that the womans were nothing. But this movie shows strong, well behave, independant and admirable womans, chasing their dreams in a world (well, in that time) when its impossible for womans to make it. So I love it for that.
