WrongThis movie is a good movie. It has drama and romance. Yes, it wasn't the same as the book, but not movie based off a book ever is. OH and one other thing...those of you who said that "if you like Tudor England, don't watch because it's nothing like the book". You are way off base. The book and the movie are fictional. Very few things in either are fact so don't get all dramatic about it not being realistic because neither was the book. It was an excellent movie with good acting. The BBC version was better!!!!The BBC version was better because they at least had a guy who looked like Henry (hair color) and the Boleyn girls at least looked like sisters. No, this movie was Hollywood trying to hard to make a bad copy as all their copies of original films are so terrible. Reality is SadThe saddest part of this is that almost 500 years later and the trading of women for the gain of the family still goes on in this world. Well worth the watch-this was an interesting and worthwhile movie to see- I was pleasantly surprised! Besides being a beautiful movie (sets, countryside and actors) they took considerable care with the story, dialogue and remaining mostly true to historical fact. Could do better....I'm a big fan of the book. They seem only to include two major things in the book and seem to lighten on Anne's character. Better the second time aroundI read the book before i watched the movie. i actually had to watch the movie twice because the first time i guess my expectations were to high considering the book just had so much more to it then the movie. BrilliantA brilliantly executed movie. An intriguing story full of passion, betrayal, and wit. Though this movie may be slightly historically inaccurate, it would be impossible and unreasonable to stretch the movie out over many years. By ensuring that the events happen quickly one after another, the director warrants the captivation of the audience. I must admit that I greatly enjoyed the cast. A very handsome King Henry Tudor added appeal to the entirety of the film. As well, Portman and Johansson portrayed the Boleyn sisters vividly and accurately.
