Godzilla's 50th Anniversary project and costliest adventure to date out of 28 films. Earth has been relatively peaceful since Godzilla was successfully buried deep in ice beneath the South Pole. Then - sometime a few years hence-several of his old nemeses return to wreak havoc on cities worldwide. A huge spaceship suddenly appears and neutralizes all the monsters in a blink. The visitors are "Xiliens," who take human form and announce they would like to negotiate a peace treaty that would replace the United Nations with a "United Universe". They are indeed too good to be true, however. It doesn't take long before their nefarious real purpose is exposed - conquering Earth. Greatly outmatched, Earth officials decide to de-freeze Godzilla as man's only hope to vanish the invaders, as well as the monsters they control. Only trouble is Godzilla is still mad at man for freezing him in the first place.
Humanity finally rids themselves of Godzilla, imprisoning him in an icy tomb in the South Pole. All is peaceful until various monsters emerge to lay waste to Earth's cities. Overwhelmed, humanity is seemingly saved by a race of benevolent aliens known as Xiliens. But not all is what it seems with these bizarre visitors. If humanity wishes to survive, they must reluctantly resurrect their most hated enemy, Godzilla.

Wow. I'm speechless.I saw the preview. And I thought "geez this is intense." So I bought the movie. To say the least, I wasn't disappointed. The story, a little lacking and difficult to wrap your head around but once you do it's awesome. All in all, it counteracts all laws of space and time, and for that it's completly epic..Score: 5/5
Bad, really bad!I'm a huge Godzilla fan and bought this when it came out. I really liked the reboot of the Japanese Godzilla films in 2000 and, after all the hype, had high hopes for this film. But despite the fact that this is basically a Destroy All Monsters remake with a "high speed" Godzilla, the actions scenes are a mess-both human & monster. Was very disappointed and am surprised this movie has such a high rating. To put things in perspective, the US Godzilla was better than this, even he gets whipped in this movie!.Score: 1/5

KaijuThis movie has Godzilla, Mothra, Minilla, Anguirus, Hedorah, Ebirah, Gigan, Manda, Kumonga, Zilla, Kamacuras, Rodan, King Caesar, Monster X / Kaizer Ghidorah. Unfortuantly due to all these monsters included the fight scences are extremely breif ex. 7secs long. The main monsters focused on are Godzilla Monster X / Kaizer Ghidorah and only in the end Gigan and Mothra pretty cool movie but mostly about the people fighting.Score: 4/5
ThoughtsIn my opinion, the movie was good in the fact that you got to see Godzilla fight all of the other monsters (excluding the ones that got destroyed, like Biollantte, Destroyah, Space Godzilla, etc,). Of course, the movie had it's problems. For instance, the movie itself was more focused around the people, like in Tokyo SOS, than it was around the big guy himself. Not a masterpiece, but still a good flick for fans like me..Score: 4/5
English Please!I wish we would have read the remarks before buying this movie. We love Godzilla. Why not the english version? What a rip! There is no warning that this is a dubbed movie & the "preview" is english.
