A coming-of-age comedy starring Dan Aykroyd, Jamie Lee Curtis, Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone) and newcomer Anna Chlumsky, My Girl is an irresistible story of first love and loss. Chlumsky makes an extraordinary acting debut as Vada Sultenfuss, a precocious 11-year-old tomboy obsessed with death. Dan Aykroyd is her widowed father, the town mortician, and Jamie Lee Curtis is the sexy cosmetician he employs. Macaulay Culkin, in another endearing performance, is Thomas J., the boy next door who idolizes Vada. Their summer adventures from first kiss to last farewell which introduce Vada to the world of adolescence. The perfect film for parents to share with their children, My Girl is a motion picture to cherish.

Vada Sultenfuss is obsessed with death. Her mother is dead, and her father runs a funeral parlor. She is also in love with her English teacher, and joins a poetry class over the summer just to impress him. Thomas J., her best friend, is "allergic to everything", and sticks with Vada despite her hangups. When Vada's father hires Shelly, and begins to fall for her, things take a turn to the worse...

Great movieThis movie is the best movie i have ever seen so good yet so sad . this movie is a great coming of age story. 11year old Vada is a tomboy obsessed and confused about death her mother died when she was born and is now living with her widowed father (Dan Aykroyd) who owns a funeral parlor . Her best friend Thomas j is allergic to everything . her grandmother has alzimers and she is in love with her teacher. This movie covers first kisses moving on and grief . i cried like a baby at the end of the movie yet it is still my favorite movie of all time . you should buy this movie you DEFIANTLY won’t regret it.Appel FamScore: 5/5

Super Cute!!!!This movie was great and i cried my eyes out this was the saddest movie I have ever seen but (WARNING SPOILER ALERT) when he dies I was so sad and I think one of the saddest parts was when Vada was at his funeral and she starts freaking out that was so sad!!!!!!!
