Hack the planet!I was in my late teens when this movie showed up. Probably rented it from the local 'Blockbuster' store dozen times or more. Music was perfect, clothing was cool, clubs were great. However, hacks were mediocre, no matter how neat their visual representation was in a movie. Still, who cares - there was young Angelina Jolie and there was young Jonny Lee Miller. This is one of my favourite movies... if not my favourite movie.
Let's start with a summary that actually tells you something.
Dade "Crash Override/Zero Cool" Murphy (Johnny Lee Miller) is a slick but awkward senior high school student who has a criminal record. After meeting Kate Libby (Angelina Jolie) on his first day in a new school, (what's that... a crush?), he finds himself running from his past as he and some new found friends fight their way through an uphill battle; caused after the most inexperienced friend gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Will love prevail? Will they prove their "innocence"? Find out by watching.
One of the other commenters mentioned that the movie shows it's age... boy does it ever if you know computers; for example the comment "it's got a 28.8 bPS modem" considering the average card now runs at 100Mbps. Aside from that and a few cheesy GUI representations of a CLI this movie is really a good watch. I would recommend it for anyone who likes the acting skills of Angelina Jolie and Johnny Lee Miller, among the other talented cast..Ace_of_TunesScore: 5/5
