Driver is a skilled Hollywood stuntman who moonlights as a getaway driver for criminals. Though he projects an icy exterior, lately he's been warming up to a pretty neighbor named Irene and her young son, Benicio. When Irene's husband gets out of jail, he enlists Driver's help in a million-dollar heist. The job goes horribly wrong, and Driver must risk his life to protect Irene and Benicio from the vengeful masterminds behind the robbery.

Not what I expected at all.I rate it at two stars more to compare what I expected vs. what it is. I expected it to be a car movie like Gone in 60 Seconds or Fast and Furious. What I got was a movie with one car scene in it that wasn't all that great. I expected an action movie with speedy stuff. I got a drama. I expected to be able to see this with my kids in the room. I got a woman getting her brains blown out on screen. A guy getting curb stomped into paste on screen. A man being stabbed through the throat multiple times on screen.
So... not my thing and certainly not for my collection.
BUT. If that's the sort of movie you're into, I would say this is very well done and the acting was great..D20DarkScore: 2/5
Get’em Gosling!!Gosling is perfect for this role; endearing and menacing! One of my most favorite movies of all times! Drive will have your thrill meter on MAX. You won’t be able to get enough of this tough-guy! The club & hammer scene was the epitome of off the chain, and the score was at just the right moment. If you didn’t know it, you would think Gosling was coming after you, as you sit on your couch, staring at the television. Did I mention the score? Great movieNever been the biggest gosling fan. But this movie is def one of my favorites of all time dude. This is def one of those movies no one ever really hears about but is great from beginning to end. Kudos. Both the writing and directing was amazing. One of my new favoritesA bit slow at times but definitely not boring as some are saying. This is not a movie for someone with an attention disorder. I found the ups and downs in tempo to be interesting and refreshing. Many of the scenes - even the slow ones - were actually quite intense. Italiano Driver (non ha un nome) ha più di un lavoro. È un esperto meccanico in una piccola officina. Fa lo stuntmen per riprese automobilistiche e accompagna rapinatori sul luogo del delitto garantendo loro una fuga a tempo di record. Ora Driver avrebbe anche una nuova opportunità : correre in circuiti professionistici. Ma le cose vanno diversamente. Driver conosce e si innamora di Irene, una vicina di casa, e diventa amico di suo figlio Benicio. Irene però è sposata e quando il marito, Standard, esce dal carcere la situazione precipita. Perché Standard ha dei debiti con dei criminali i quali minacciano la sua famiglia. Driver decide allora di fargli da autista per il colpo che dovrebbe sistemare la situazione.
