ShelNot a bad movie, Olsen did a nice job. But it seems that the description to the movie is misleading to what is actually happening while Martha is at her sister’s house. If you allow yourself to get board you might miss a lot of small important details that bring this movie to life and showcase Olsen’s talent..Score: 4/5

A tense indie film about a woman fleeing a cultI'll let the other reviewers love it or hate it. I'm just ambivalent. I really wanted good things to befall the two sisters in the hope of a happy ending but the people who produced this film (writers, director, actors, producers) made it all unappealing. Maybe their intent was to illustrate traumatic fallout brings out ugliness in people? Anyhoo, I was so unnerved the whole time that I ultimately lost interest in it after an hour. So much so that I fast forwarded to the last 10 minutes to get it over with ---and y'know, I wish I could get that hour & 42 minutes back…...Score: 2/5

HmmElizabeth Olsen is very good in this film. Theres alot of silence and dead parts that dont make much sense. The ending wasnt as bad as I was expecting after reading the reviews on here. It doesnt really end which leaves the viewer to come up with their own conclusion...this isnt a new concept in movies, its been done before. Id say the concept of this movie was good I just dont understand why she wouldnt tell somebody about where she came from and why she is the way she is...Still over all pretty good movie..Score: 2/5
Lazy.A modern day retelling of Manson and his "family", I guess, but without any gore. I never believed that Elizabeth Olsen was vulnerable enough to lured into a cult, nor did I see the type of psychological or physical abuse necessary for her to illicit her strange behaviour after she escapes. Not her fault; however. That is the directors/Writers responsibility. There was so much more that could have been done in attempt to make this a better movie, but it seems like the filmmakers became lazy. Especially with the ridiculous ending. Remember when movies had endings? This is one of the worst I have seen yet. Embarrassing..Score: 2/5
A Wild RideThis film is great for a vriety of reasons. It has some phenomenal performances by Elizabeth Olson and John Hawkes, a fantastic introspective script and e cinematography is completely mindblowing at times. The director really captures the spooky/twisted mood of the film perfectly and brings you into this paranoid world with precision, talent, and grace. It's a tad slow at times but the atmosphere of this drama is worth your time alone..Score: 4/5

Tremendously overrated.Fine acting and great cinematography are not enough to compensate for the excruciatingly slow pace and frustrating storyline. Normally I appreciate these types of films but this one left me cold, and the ending—if you want to call it that—made me wish I hadn't spent the money to rent this.
