Incredibly powerful and ugly cry inducingI was not at all prepared for the amount of feels this movie brought to me. I have never cried so hard then when I watched this beautiful piece of cinematography. The acting is phenomenal and the characters are all captivating in their own way. This film had me deep in thought with tears to follow weeks after I watched it. I deeply encourage those who are even remotely interested to give it a chance. You will not be disappointed. I'm so glad to have this film in my collection both on iTunes and on Blu-Ray..Score: 5/5

AmazingAbsolutely amazing. Stellar performances by all. Watched it twice in a row. Amazing to see how everything started and the brave ones who stood up to get things going in the battle against HIV/AIDS. Everyone (gay or straight, doesn't matter), needs to see this film. TearjerkerI’m one who doesn’t cry during movies unless it is motivational and heartbreaking and The Normal Heart was both of those. The movie had made me realize how proud I am to be a member of the LGBT community but also made me realize that they need to be protected and treated the same way other people are treated. Like Tommy Boatwright said “We’re losing an entire generation” and I agree and that will happen again if we don’t protect LGBT lives like we do with non-LGBT people..Score: 5/5

AmazingThis is a film that brought me to tears and broke my heart. The gut-wrenching, raw emotions damn near knocked me off my chair. In nursing we have looked at HIV/AIDS as a pathology and all the objective data that comes with the infection. This film brought out the humanity and the suffering that these people went through. The pain and hardship and loss are palpable as is that anger felt by the activists. You are left pining for the millions of people who lost their lives an all the greatness the could have been. However as hard as some parts were to watch, you are left with a sense of hope in the end that restores your faith in humanity and leaves you looking forward to tomorrow..Score: 5/5

Unimpressive, overrated.After hearing so much about the movie, I was extremely disappointed in watching it. The only person who wasn’t playing a full blown stereotype, was Taylor Kitsch, and when he’s the strongest performer on screen, you have a major problem. Anybody want to watch a Good movie about AIDS and the era of confusion and inhumane treatment, watch Philadelphia, as it is a much better movie which takes itself much more seriously..Score: 1/5
