After their teenage son is killed in a car crash, Paul and Anne move to the New England countryside to try to start a new life. But the grieving couple unknowingly becomes the prey of a family of vengeful spirits that reside in their new home, and before long they discover that the seemingly peaceful town is hiding a terrifyingly dark secret. Now they must find a way to overcome their sorrow and fight back against both the living and dead as the malicious ghosts threaten to pull their souls – and the soul of their lost son – into hell with them. From the producers of The House Of The Devil and Cheap Thrills, WE ARE STILL HERE is a tense, frightening, and thoroughly haunting ghost story.
After the death of their college age son, Anne and Paul Sacchetti relocate to the snowswept New England hamlet of Aylesbury, a sleepy village where all is most certainly not as it seems. When strange sounds and eerie feelings convince Anne that her son's spirit is still with them, they invite an eccentric, New Age couple to help them get to the bottom of the mystery.

The Rotten Tomatoes & iTunes reviews are NOT accurateWhile this isn’t the worst film I’ve ever watched, it certainly doesn’t warrant a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes! As per the reviews, I was expecting a fast paced movie with plenty of visual scares. This movie succeeds at showing dark creatures (very appealing ones), but it’s not really that innovative or special. In short, the acting is so bad that the movie is slow. It would be a great Netflix watch (e.g., a free movie), but it’s not worth 3.99. Maybe a dollar?.Score: 2/5
This is the real deal. This is the real deal.. Worst deal that is. WORST - MOVIE - EVER. The reviews here are totally scripted. I’m beginning to believe the conspiracy about reviews being “rigged” to make the new directors and the studio to get their name up there. For a price of course. Anyway, trust me, if you want to be scared, DON’T watch it. If you want to laugh at a horror movie, give it a shot. Trust me it won’t fail you on that aspect..Score: 1/5
I wanted to love it...Two stars, in my opinion, is quite generous. I wanted to love this movie, I really did. I live in Shortsville, where the movie was filmed, and I found that to be a cool aspect, so that is why I gave it a chance. Really the only scenes I enjoyed were the shots of my hometown. Other than that, the scenes were either slow or filled with unnecessary gore, which, I believe, were only there to give the “scary” parts something extra (I use “scary” very loosely). I mean it when I say that the storyline wasn’t terrible, but the performance ruined it: the acting (although it fits with the 70’s B-movie theme) and the editing (focusing on random objects for oddly long periods of time or spinning the camera when a demon killed a man) were confusing. The only reason I gave it two stars is because I can see little glimmers of potential. Also, I wouldn’t say I hated it, but “I don’t like it” will suffice. I won”t watch again..Score: 2/5
Creep and Freaky Ghost StoryShades of 70s ghost epics with a creepy nod to The Fog. These ghosts mean business and are smokin scary. I like my steak well done - same with my horror. We Are Still Here is definitely well done and hotter n hell!.Score: 4/5
A bummerHorror lovers put up with a lot of crap acting, predictable plots and wait-for-it timing. This movie (which I wanted to like and heard was good) was way too dull for me to finish. The acting was wooden, the script thudded along, and any larger ideas about grieving or whatever were lost in long silent shots of the unmysterious landscape. Unworthy of the actors, who do great work elsewhere..Score: 2/5
Just awful.Paying homage to '80s horror movie tropes (a trick that's been done to death by now anyway) only really works when a filmmaker's got at least half an idea to attach them to, and that's definitely not the case here -- this groaner is all ugly, dull surface. I'd have settled for the tension promised by the narrative setup (which is actually pretty promising), an interesting performance or two, or even just some innovative effects, but no dice -- it all feels either hyper-familiar or, bizarrely enough, awkward and cheesy by design. Note to indie horror auteurs: Being modestly adept at aping the rhythm, aural cues, and visuals of your favorite John Carpenter or Sam Raimi movie doesn't mean you can skate by without having a decent story to tell..Score: 1/5
