This is..I live in the so called "gated community" known as coto de caza. this show makes everyone in the community look like rich slobs, when actually their not. shows like this and the "o.c" give southern california a pathetic look. its embarresing to watch this show when i live down the stereet from the houses that are gettin filmed..Score: 3/5
Quite a show.I have to say I didn't think I would like this show, but it grows on you. It's as if you are watching a reality version of the O.C. Some people will critique it but honestly they haven't watched it long enough to find out what the show is really about and that is really is quite amusing..Score: 5/5

This Orange County Crap Really Has to StopSeriously, just another rediculous show making everyone in the world who has never been to southern california think that everyone is rich. i downloaded this just to criticize how set-up and crappy i knew it would be from the title. first off if they want a show about the "real" anything in corange county they should film some of the gang activity in santa ana, anaheim, garbage grove, or maybe how not everyone in orange county is well off and rich. i wish i could give a 0 star rating. its crap.Score: 1/5
Addictingly Bad TV40+ Shade expects 24 yr-old Jo to be his soulmate. Right-o ! Generation gap, expectation gap. Stupid people. She wants money, he wants a hot babe. Feels that she is soooo right for him. Yah Sure. Jeanna .... dumb mom. Doesn't expect anything from son.. thinks he will be a major leaguer. What happens if he gets seriously hurt? Can't play. He's closed the door on sooo much with the blessing of his parents. Rich people, stupid people, spoiled people. Addicting to watch these people be soooo stupid and artificial. Fun, but amazingly annoying..Score: 2/5

This is not a Class WarI've read all of the reviews and am amazed at the number of people who rate this show poorly because they don't agree with the lifestyle. I, too, don't agree with the excess in this show, especially how the children are all messed up while the parents focus on more intriguing ways to entertain themselves. However, I don't think those views justify a poor rating of the show. We're rating the artistic medium here, not the subject matter. I personally would give this show a high rating for the following reasons. First, it shows "the rest of us" that having excessive piles of cash doesn't necessarily translate into happiness; in fact, it looks as though things are quite the opposite. Second, it offers an insight into a world that many of us would have never known but for this network show. Finally, I believe it sends a message to everyone, rich and poor, that we all must better ourselves constantly. For these reasons, I rate this show highly and encourage other reviewers to focus on the artistic medium..Score: 5/5
The really unreal OCThis is one of the funniest series around. Living in Southern Cali, I do see people like this and much worse. I work in Coronado (aka Snobanado), so this series is actually tame compared to some of the excess I have seen there. Shows like this prove that having more money than brains is possible.... and money begets money (they actually paid these people to show how incredibly out of touch they are). The show is great as long as you understand that reality TV is anything but real. Makes you want to run out and buy your kids brand new Mercedes! I dont think it will get a second season... but it should. No worse than any of the other reality shows out there. And at least this one targets "everyday folks" vice the silliness of the rich and shameless. Good value for your 1.99!.Score: 4/5
