It's 1783 and Ross Poldark returns from the American War of Independence to his beloved Cornwall to find his world in ruins: his father dead, the family mine long since closed, his house wrecked and his sweetheart pledged to marry his cousin. But Ross finds that hope and love can be found when you are least expecting it in the wild but beautiful Cornish landscape.

Enjoyed from start to finish!This was a wonderful series to watch. I started two weeks ago at the beginning and watched every episode, finishing this evening. Loved it all and thought the character Ross was a wonderful man. Scenery was amazing and story lines full to bursting with intregue twists and turns.. you really didn't know what to expect next. Storyline at its bestEach episode gives us a compelling truth of what happened in the past still exist in the present. The rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer & then you have the middle class or the blue collared workers. Truthful with what goes on with the everyday lives. The relationship between Demelza & Ross was very intimate with an old-fashion love story that brings joy & tears in an avid fanās heart. Thank you..Score: 5/5
