Ni Hoa!!I love this show....and I'm a teen.Its weird for me to say that i like a show that was made for toddlers. :)but thats how good this show is.I myself am wanting to lear mandarin chinese.And this is a great way to start off! And I'm sorry for those of you that are a Dora fan,but Dora gets on my nerves sometimes!i think this is a much better show.And I believe more people speak this language.And my little sister will watch this show tons of times before getting board.Its one af mine and my little sisters fav child shows! zizen! Love Ni Hao Kai LanMy pre-school age daughter loved Dora until one day we stumbled upon Ni Hao Kai Lan. Now she only has eyes for Kai Lan. She is also learning Chinese at school and at home so this show reinforces her learning. For a parent, Kai Lan is far less annoying than Dora. Ugh, I can't even listen to Dora's voice anymore. In defense of Dora though, my daughter knows all the color of the rainbow and how to count in Spanish!.Score: 5/5
Ni Hao, Kai-Lan: ADORABLE!!This is one of the best shows I have ever watched! Now alot of people may think it is just a Dora-like show, but I actually hate Dora. Kai-Lan is way better and the shows actually have a plot... unlike Dora (where they always follow a dumb pattern, ex "Bridge, Mountain, Gooey Gyser!"). Kai-Lan is funny and adorable. We love Kai-Lan!Last month, we purchased the whole season after seeing my 21 months daughter's interest to Kai-Lan versus Dora. At first, she can watch half of the episode only but since last week i noticed she started to like it more and is happy watching the character do their roles. We like Kai-lan, she is fun, friendly and kind... and we esp. like that it teaches interpesonal skills- how to deal with emotions which is by no means deeper but they were able to show it in a simple, fun, easy and understandable way little ones can relate easily. With parents around, children can learn more from it. Thumbs up one of the best show we have watched so far!.Score: 5/5
Great show, but not great video files!The show is fantastic and helps young children recognize and deal with emotions in themselves and others, as well as offering tidbits of Chinese language and culture. However, be warned the the video quality of these files is pretty terrible. It's not that they're SD (so is Max & Ruby and that looks great on our tv), they're just very poor quality files that end up looking very pixelated, which is only made worse if you plan to watch it on a larger television. Perhaps Season 2 will have a better quality transfer. I hope so! Either way, my toddler is not too discerning as far as a/v quality goes, so it works!.Score: 5/5

Very Cute for toddlersObviously reviews have to take into account the audience. In our case, toddlers, most likely girls. Kai-Lan is a very cute chinese girl, having adventures with her friends. Everything is presented in a very positive experience. The music is fun. There is a spin on the chinese culture, there is always a few words to learn in chinese in each episode (like colors, seasons etc...). My little daughter 3 years old love this show. If you liked also Wonder-Pets, this one is also very good..Score: 5/5
Ni Hao Kai LanVery similiar to Dora so if you think that is a good style show but want chinese (mandarin) instead then this is perfect. Not as annoying of a voice as Dora though so parents might not mind watching episode after episode....Score: 4/5
