Good but was missing some thingsThis was a good look back over the 15 seasons of ER. But in my opinion it could have been longer. They should have taken the time to talk about every main character (not just the originals) for at least a moment. They also should have had the actors playing the regulars like Frank, Jerry, and the nurses speak as well. They were a big part of the show. ER, Season 712 October 200022 Episodes

Life. Death. And chaos. It’s all in a day’s work in the overburdened Chicago ER. Season 7 brings a busload of sickened school kids, a crazed gunman whose shooting spree has already claimed 19 victims . . . and, of course, the guy in the opossum outfit who bit the man dressed as a kangaroo! But for the dedicated doctors and nurses, the life-and-death drama of their professional lives doesn’t seem to let up when they’re off-duty. Abby Lockhart faces a difficult reunion with her mother (guest star Sally Field), a turbulent woman suffering from bipolar disorder; while Carter makes a harrowing return from detox; Benton struggles against the iron grip of Dr. Robert Romano; Kovac confronts a mugger; Weaver confronts her sexual orientation; and Chen refuses to reveal the father of her child. Meanwhile, Drs. Greene and Corday get married — only to live under the looming shadow of Greene’s impending health crisis. Excitement, drama, and suspense are on call in the ER.

ER, Season 827 September 200122 Episodes

Change has come to Chicago’s County General. In this powerful, unforgettable, and series-changing season of ER, twenty-two of the most dramatic and compelling hours of television unfold with excitement, suspense, joy, and grief — all in a single heartbeat. ER’s latest hopefuls — Army Reservist Michael Gallant (Sharif Atkins) and brash Gregory Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) — arrive to face the challenges of life in Trauma One. Meanwhile, Chen (Ming-Na) defies demotion and Malucci (Erik Palladino) crosses the line once too often. And as Peter Benton finally weighs his career and family, a familiar face returns from the past (Sherry Stringfield’s Dr. Susan Lewis). As Dr. Greene fights his final battle — leaving a void in the ER’s heart — his former student, John Carter, must step into the breach to lead the group of healers. Also starring Laura Innes, Alex Kingston, Goran Visnjic, Maura Tierney, and more, this is a season not to be missed.

ER, Season 926 September 200222 Episodes

While the names may change, the task remains the same: saving lives. In Season 9 of the landmark drama, John Carter is now the Chief Resident, and his romantic attraction to Abby starts to turn serious — until Abby’s psychiatrically challenged brother (Tom Everett Scott) shows up. Meanwhile, Kovac’s wild ways begin to affect his job performance, leading him to examine his tragic life and make a change. Opting for an assignment in the dangerous war-torn Congo, Carter and Kovac experience real trauma firsthand. With Corday widowed, Susan Lewis gets married (to guest star Donal Logue), Weaver gets promoted, and Dr. Romano replaces her — but it’s going to cost him an arm and a . . . well, just an arm. Between a deadly quarantine, a staff walkout, a 200th episode and an episode told backwards, ER’s the right prescription for drama. With guest stars Don Cheadle, Ed Asner, Sally Field, and more, the prognosis looks good for Season 9. Watch now on iTunes.

Chief of Staff Kerry Weaver remains tough — but the loss of her life partner and a bitter custody battle have worn on her. And with Dr. Kovac carrying on a complicated romance with streetwise nurse Samantha Taggart (Linda Cardellini), Dr. Susan Lewis has her hands full as a doctor and a new mother, and Neela has dropped out, doubting that medicine may be her calling after all. Year 11 of the fast-paced series brings new challenges and changes to the ER.
