NCIS: Los Angeles is a drama about the high-stakes world of the Office of Special Projects (OSP), a division of NCIS that is charged with apprehending dangerous and elusive criminals that pose a threat to the nation's security. By assuming false identities and utilizing the most advanced technology, this team of highly-trained agents goes deep undercover, putting their lives on the line in the field to bring down their targets. Special Agent "G" Callen is a chameleon who transforms himself into whomever he needs to be to infiltrate the criminal underworld. His partner is Special Agent Sam Hanna, a former U.S. Navy SEAL who has seen action in both Afghanistan and Iraq, and a surveillance expert who uses state of the art monitoring equipment to look out for those in the field and feed them crucial information. Assisting the team is Special Agent Kensi Blye, the exceptionally bright daughter of a slain Marine who lives for the adrenalin rush that comes with undercover work; Operational Psychologist Nate Getz, adept at getting into anybody's head, profiling the target and monitoring agents' states of mind before, during and after missions; Dominic Vail, the most recent addition to the team, is highly qualified but lacking in practical experience; and Henrietta "Hetty" Lange, who oversees the "backroom" support staff tasked with providing everything from micro-surveillance cameras to cars for the team. Armed with the latest in high-tech gear and sent regularly into life-threatening situations, this tight-knit unit relies on each other to do what is necessary to protect national interests.

Not NCIS but equally greatI gave this show 5 stars because it has the action packed intensity and greatness of its predecessor, NCIS. The actors in this show are almost as close as the NCIS gang--although they have totally different pasts and challenges to face. Which is what I think i love best about watching NCIS and NCIS: LA, I can watch one and go to the other and still be blown away by the dynamics of the plot line and how each twist and turn is unique to the individual episode and to the show in general. The addage of technology to the way this team functions gives this show a different spin as well--whereas NCIS mostly traditional, NCIS LA shows the way a technological team operates (call it a more modern approach, if you want). Overall, I hope this T.V. show lasts as long as the original NCIS has! and i'm excited to see what else the producers have in store for the rest of the first season of NCIS LA!!!!.Score: 5/5

This is not the origional!!!!!!!!!!!!I think that if NCIS: Los Angeles was like the origional it would be a bad show to watch because there is just no topping gibbs and the rest of the team, so for everyone to say that its a disappointment compared to the origional, thats just wrong. Very nicely doneNCIS: LA is a really nice surprise hit for me! At first I was not sure if I would like this show. But as a spin off from NICS, I have to say it is coming along very nicely. NCIS and NCIS: LA are the only 2 TV shows that I watch, or have watched in over 15 years. This show may be a spin off, but it is really starting to hold it's own. I bought the season pass because I think it will just get better and better and I do not want to miss an episode. Is anybody else wondering what happened to macy and the old hq?While I really like this show, as well as the original NCIS, I've been wondering what happened to A) the old headquarters for NCISLA, and how they wound up in what looks more like a house than an office, and B) Macy, who I thought fit in well with the team in LA and Gibbs and everybody back in DC. Missing season 2While this is not as good as the original NCIS, I was happily amused to watch it each week. I am sorry that iTunes has decided to not run season two. The two shows back to back each week gave me a welcome bit of fantasy and the ability to forget daily troubles for a little while. I do hope that iTunes will reconsider and let us have season two. Very entertainingI did not know what to expect with NCIS Los Angeles; I have seen a couple of NCIS shows and the I found to be a bit predictable and the charcters are bit too quirky. I have to say that NCIS Los Angeles show overall is quite good; LL Cool J and Chris O' Donnell have great chemistry as well as the rest of the team. the show does combine humour in each show which i quite like. But they should involve the character of Nate played by Peter cambor more into the show..Score: 4/5

A good series but you need time to warm to itI have to admit I love NCIS and had high hopes for this spin-off. After the first few episodes I was beginning to worry that these were not going to be realised , but it has now grown on me and I actually rather like it. This series is a bit more geeky than NCIS, with a lot more gun-slinging, but there is good character development and this is the part of the show that keeps drawing me back. The plots are good, the NCIS cross-overs are there (Abby & Vance), and Hettie is a gem. I have to admit I am now a convert and am looking forward to the next episodes!.Score: 4/5
WOW - Good show extortionately pricedHi this is such a gooc show in that it has a slightly different style to NCIS. I love the odd couple in G Callen and Hanna who sometimes acts like an odd mother hen to his partner. the star of the show has got to be Hetty. She really keeps the guys in line with her no nonsense attitude and respect for each individual. At the minute i'm looking at a ÂŁ59 price tag - come on itunes! That is beyond unrealistic. Fix this major error please to a slightly more believable price and then I can spend my hard earned cash on it!!! Overall I love this show. It has a quirkyness that is all it's own - that is if you can get over the fact it is NOT Gibbs and his team - this is a completely different show in it's own right. Get past that and don't expect anything except to be amused and entertained by all the team and you will find something quite fun..Score: 5/5
